  1. Movement not loose. You are probably listening to the spin of the auto winder mechanism. Common. Sounds like something is loose. Mike
  2. From the HV on the bottom to the top of the crown it is about 48mm. The rubber strap is good, not sticky or too soft and not hard and inflexable. Fits good. A word on sizing. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and if I use the last hole in the strap the watch is a little loose. If I use it on the next to the last it fits snug but comfortable. Mike
  3. I think Narikaa always states they are good for a mad dash in the rain at 50 meters. Never assume reps are waterproof but you can have this checked where they do watch repair. I know - this is a dive watch but thems the breaks. Maybe a modder here can insure it is waterproof. Usil
  4. I like big watches so thought I would give this model BR a try. Narika has carved out an important niche in the rep market for us guys that want to participate in buying a few reps every now and then without busting the bank. No super reps here but good models and a good selection from his frequent trips to seek new material. He should have these available when he gets back. This is not a review - the picture presents what it is. The strap is quite comfortable, nice buckle, fit and finish is not so bad, the inner bezel turns nicely by using the upper crown. All in all I like this addition to my collection. The only negative comment I have is that the lume job is really quite poor. Even below the standards of the normal reps. I think this has been a problem with most BR models and if this watch in particular with the large markings had it, it would look dynomite. Usil
  5. Hey guys, the hard work is done with creating the watch. The rest is just the dial. So there should be lots of variations soon. Usil
  6. If you can put one finger between the wrist and the clasp that is about right. aIt is the rule I use. Usil
  7. I really like that watch. Great luck. Happy for you. Usil
  8. I have seen all black crown guards at a dealer in Paris. Usil
  9. I would be torn between what I wanted and what I needed. A cool mountain bike, easy off everything, good suspension, etc... nice to look at and nice to ride but make sure you have a picture of it so you will know what you had when it quickly disappears. Old, delapidated looking is the only safety. Sorry but it is true. A funny story- I had a cheep (USD95.00) mountain bike when I came to Paris. AFter a few months I bought a motorcycle and left it chained to a post in my parking garage and never rode it again. After about 6 months, I drove by and noticed one of the lights gone, soon a reflector, then the seat (even thought I removed the easy removal feature and put a lock nut on it), then the handle bars - eventually I rode by one day and it was gone all together. This was in a secure by guard and dog underground parking garage. Usil

I sometimes put a watch into a large clear baggie when taking apart. Saved me many times from flicking screws and springs. Usil
  11. Foreign films are hard to find in the US outside of major cities. You have to hunt for them in other locations. Thankfully, some appear late at night on satelite. Saw Jacque Brell is alive and well a few summers ago in Paris and loved it but I actually saw some get up and leave so I guess tastes change over time. Now in the US I love getting his music out. 12. What zing. Must be f32 on those shots. Usil

  14. Looks like they were laying wire. On the ground it was tangled in the antlers and then up and away he went. Usil
  15. You finally got it. What a wait but it looks like it was worth it. I bet you put AR on it, minimally. I love the blask and white much better than the more colored versions. Have to add it to the list. Happy Holidays, Usil
  16. I can appreciate your desire to do this yourself but for a watch that has been specifically assembled and sold as a modded watch - this just seems like the modder should be responcible for this. This is a quality issue that, for a modded watch, you should not be responcible for. Usil
  17. I am looking at some of your pictures and it looks like the crown guard is not fitting tight to the watch on each end. A gap exists at the end that looks big enough to slide a paper under it or at least see daylight if yoiu were to hold it up to a light. Maybe it is just the image or a shadow. Usil
