  1. This will be the most anticipated sign-up list in a while.
  2. Offer a below market price for it. He probably thinks its just a sub...
  3. Movement's cheap. Obtainable at less than USD 300.00. The most expensive item would be the case set. This is essentially a USD2k project.
  4. Thank you all... So it is true. No more bracelets as well. I am truely F A R K E D.
  5. Good to see you again buddy. Your presence on sundays have been missed tremendously. Thinking of building an Ingy.
  6. Overlays are the only option. The Ingy is essentially an improved 7750. Our reps typically has a 2824 or 2836. Input from memebers much appreciated
  7. Thats another sub.... yes, I will go back and read up more.
  8. Does anyone have a spare Ingy dial lying around? Need some dimensions to get some Ingy datewheel overlays printed.

He needs to come deliver the items already paid for, then we can talk about him coming back. Apart of Lhooq, I m quite sure there are others with outstanding orders.
  10. Explains the surge in prices for vintage daytona parts the last few months.... another nice daytona build. Wear it well my friend.
  11. There was a great white lurking around as well. 3 frankens total cost aroung the US10k mark.... We really have to get our priorities right....
  12. This really depends your appetite. No 1:1 out there but for a few thousand bucks, you can get mightily close. for a sub 1k build, best to go to Spinmaster for an A7750 based 6263.
  13. Had the chance to see this beauty in the flesh yesterday and pictures didn't do it justice. The details of of the Phong case does make the watch. And that dial, it was absolutely perfect. This was the the same dial that I was eyeing when it was on VRM. I deliberated for half a day too long and M was on it like the flash. Lesson learnt in the vintage daytona scene, when the right stuff comes up at the right price, just empty the bank acct. Worry about it later
  14. Thats an A class build there.... grats. looking forward to seeing this in person
  15. Never got called out but I did very nearly call out an a$$hat who was flaunting his rep PAM 390. He was a colleague of my girlfriend and we were having drinks afterwork. When I complimented on his watch he voluntarily took it off his wrist and went on and on about it being an LE etc.... oh yeah and how much he paid for it. I mentioned that it was a good catch and its value will go up. It took every once of restraint for me not to call him out in spite of him being a douche. I guess most of us are just too polite to call strangers out. Later that evening, in private, I told my gf that her colleague was weraing a rep.

That's a sweet watch there buddy. Is it me or are Phong's PN dials better Ingod PN dials? Always thought Ingod PN dials are the gold standard for VJ72 based PNs.
  18. I used to buy reps that I theoretically can afford. Breitlings, IWCs and Panerais. After a while... I just didn't care anymore. My rep collection now consist of vintage Panerais (sf240s and a 202a) and 3 vintage rolexes (gen market value of about 20k each). I came to the realization that 99% of the general population don't know of i was wearing and the 1% that knows, dont care. Just wear what makes you happy, the people who pass judgement are probably not worth you time anyways. Having said that, I make it a point to wear a non-descript <40mm watch when I make a client visit, a tudor MC or a Rolex 6542 most of the time. To me, its not the value of the watch, just making sure that the center of attraction is not whats on your wrist. Its about the right watch for the right occasion for me....
  19. I saw the listing yestaeday and it looked fishy. Sure enough, the dial looks way off. Perhaps its a mish mash of Tudor parts.
  20. Have to thank DW and his MC project for this....
