  1. "There's no way that a GST will ever be part of our policy....Never ever" John W Howard, Prime Minister - famous for introducing the GST. The prosecution rests.
  2. How do we know that's not just a photo of a six foot alien? You're not getting me that easily....great camera my ass. EDIT: Wearing the Ingy in the sig today!
  3. Do not scroll down for the answer. Try to attempt the answer first. There is a very very tall coconut tree, and there are 4 animals: King Kong, An ape An orangutan And a monkey who are one metre from it. They have a competition to see who is the fastest to get the banana. Who do you guess will win? Your answer will reflect your personality. Try and answer within 10 seconds Got your answer? Scroll down to see the analysis. If your answer is ......................... An orangutan you are: stupid An ape you are: foolish A monkey you are: an idiot King Kong you are: thick! Coconut trees, don't have bananas .........!! You're obviously stressed to hell - take a day off work!
  4. Best wishes to you Cats - hopefully the doctors can give you a bit more certainty over the coming days; that's a lot of worry you're having to carry on your shoulders. You can count on support here.
  5. Seriously though, is it halal? Okay, maybe not so seriously....
  6. I don't know if it's any help, but richard_uk posted this PAM wristshot... If you can wear 42mm, I don't think a 44mm PAM is that big a step up. The Fiddy is big though (47mm).
  7. Did you hear about the poor kid who told his parents, "I wanna watch for Christmas?" They let him.
  8. [Thread moved to Other Brands area] The Zenith El Primero is certainly a gen worth owning, no replica will ever come close. It's a much lauded movement.
  9. Sinn 756....niiice I'm saving my pennies for a Sinn 103 St Sa. One day perhaps.....
  10. I know you know, but just to keep the thing on topic we are of course talking about somewhere in Africa. And a teddy bear. When I saw those people protesting it made me think of the kind of xenophobic vitriol you find in the Daily Mail or the media pretty much anywhere. That the attack is not about teddy bears or Islam, it's about outsiders not being "one of us" and arseholes in general. Swap around a few of the facts (but keeping the foreigner theme) and I wonder if the story could be transplanted to most countries. Indeed, the strength of the 'public' response seems so on cue it made me think (very cynically) of 'Scoop', which is set in the same region. There's no doubt that there's no news here in the people of Sudan thinking it's a bit lame, no - we want to see machetes in the street. That's the story. I wonder if the story wasn't just given, you know, a little, itty bitty push...
  11. Wow - this watch looks great. Nothing wrong with the 3717, a great looking rep IMHO.
  12. Wow, if you think they were harsh on the teacher, just think what they'll do to the poor kid with the teddy bear the first time he plays "what's your porn name?"
  13. John, woke up after the annual office Christmas party with a pounding headache, cotton-mouthed and utterly unable to recall the events of the preceding evening. After a trip to the bathroom, he made his way downstairs, where his wife put some coffee in front of him. "Louise," he moaned, "tell me what happened last night. Was it as bad as I think?" "Even worse," she said, her voice oozing scorn. "You made a complete ass of yourself. You succeeded in antagonizing the entire board of directors and you insulted the president of the company, right to his face." "He's an asshole," John said. "Piss on him." "You did," came the reply. "And he fired you." "Well, screw him!" said John. "I did. You're back at work on Monday."
  14. More likely the used gen market will lose value because the brands have been caught being the buyers at the top of the auction market.
  15. The Snopes SWAT team just abseiled down the side of the building and busted into the office - my god they're fast.
  16. I swear this is true - this week at work I needed a commercial banking contract faxed over to me, and the bank faxed over a letter telling me that the contract was being sent 'as an attachment'. I even got faxed a little Word document icon containing the contract, which I would have gladly 'opened', had it not been f*#king fax!
  17. Ah, Team Gerald Genta on the top row there! What a fantastic collection
  18. Welcome Jay! Look forward to seeing some shots of these beauties....
  19. Some interesting new watches! Been looking for something a bit 'different' - a complication or a gimmick and picked up these two from Silix. NB Registered airmail (not EMS) was just 6 days door to door; I swear EMS can often take three times that long. Apologies for the quick and crap photos, but hey: FRANCK MULLER CRAZY HOURS I'm very impressed with this one - a great watch for a 'cheapy'. Both the complication and the guilloch
  20. Dependable-Bayerische-Motoren-Werke-Person is going to be FUMING when he see that! The auto cartel bought up all the fake Mini-Coopers!
  21. A further thought; it is possible to relay the newsletters through the gmail account, so that they land in your normal Bigpond inbox. But that still involves opening a gmail account, and changing the email address for the newsletter.
  22. Set up a gmail account and have your newsletters directed there instead; nothing you can do if Bigpond is bouncing the emails.
  23. Yeah, that was back when folk married at 12 As LordRasta kind of said earlier - you're not controlling this situation. She wants what she wants. Not sleeping with her wasn't the problem - I mean, how many one night stands have ended up in the same predicament.....wanting a second-night-stand?! Emailing was a bad move, unless you didn't have her number. Better to look like you didn't care, even though you did really. Then again, I'm long since out of the dating game. WTF do I know?!?!
