merry Christmas to you V -- have a wonderful break deltatahoe

i have a sonicare elite and yet have found myself brushing more with a oral b pulsar -- it isn't big & bulk & has pretty much the same effect -- i actually prefer the pulsar to the sonicare elite deltatahoe

thanks so much guys for all the nice comments given none of my close friends have any real interest in watches, it is really nice to be able share this acquisition with my friends here on RWG. deltatahoe

wow  beautiful collection, perfectly paired with some of the best pam straps available the metta strap is just incredible it makes me want to cry with envy deltatahoe

first off, welcome to RWG i'm glad you've found what you are looking for; i think you'll be very pleased with your 111h  good luck enduring the wait -- in the early days of rep collecting, it is by far the hardest part. as you get more watches, looking at the gradual depletion of your bank account become much harder to deal with cheers deltatahoe

looks great V and of course an amazing tritium lume job by ziggy  i think i will like the greek hide more on this one....looking forward to more pictures when you receive the watch deltatahoe

so as some of you may have noticed, i've gotten the vintage rolex bug pretty bad recently. there is something about these classic watches that interests me much more than their modern counterparts. in particular, the acrylic crystals have a warmth to them that draws you in. so i went on a hunt for a vintage rolex gmt (i've always been a fan of gmt watches), aided by the wise words of our very own vintage rolex experts eunomians, docblackrock & nanuq. while i've barely scratched the surface of the world of vintage rolex, i have really enjoyed the learning process, which has had a similar feel to when i first found RWG and started voraciously reading as much as i could about all the various watches, movements, straps and dealers. vintage rolex is a whole other world of information (& personalities) -- there are so many different models, iterations, rare dial versions, it is pretty mind boggling. one thing i found funny was some of the terminology used to describe vintage watches; my favorite is definitely the use of the word example. people love calling nice vintage watches good examples, as in "a really nice, clean example of an early 5513". wierd. as i started looking around, i quickly realized that i prefer clean, white dials on vintage watches to the more yellowed versions that have developed a "patina." some collectors prefer this look; personally, i just don't like the yellowed markers. this proved to make my search materially more difficult, as it isn't exactly easy to find a 30+ year old watch with original dial & hands that haven't turned yellow. however, with some encouragement from eunomians and some patience, i finally found exactly what i was looking for -- an all original 1675 with white markers. i took a couple (ok, more than a couple) pictures this weekend; here are my favorites... now, a couple comments on the watch. while i was reading about 1675s and searching for the watch, i noticed several people mention the low profile of the 1675 and how nicely it sits on the wrist. i have to say, this is one element that i did not fully appreciate until receiving the watch. the combination of the thin profile/rehaut and the wide bezel is really striking -- pictures don't do justice to the unique look and feel of the watch. so as you may expect, i couldn't be happier with this piece. in closing, i must extend a special thanks to eunomians for being very patient with me and providing quality advice that helped me find a truly collectible watch. one final parting shot: deltatahoe

patron -- the man has good taste in tequila  great idea mezzanine; thanks for volunteering to ship the goods slai paypal sent; cheers to ziggy deltatahoe

@dluddy, i'm curious if you removed (or had ziggy remove) the existing light AR coating from your crystal before sending to the chief? i was pretty sure that the EL version (i have one as well) had a light AR coating, but now i'm beginning to wonder.... thanks in advance, deltatahoe

fwiw, several people are saying good things about the fit & finish of puretime's ultimate 111e.... otherwise, you're probably better suited to pick up a cheaper version from a traditional dealer and have it modded by ziggy. just my $0.02... deltatahoe

wow....amazing what a difference a small change like that can make. looks great freddy do you have a post where you give more details about this daytona? she's a beauty deltatahoe

nice watches & pictures xyphis; there's no better feeling than getting new watches in the mail. i just got back several of my watches from ziggy today and i feel like a little kid on his birthday. this is the craziest part -- when will the madness end? deltatahoe

@chief, i believe i remember ajoesmith saying 7750s aren't available any more either... unless i'm mistaken, the datewheels for this are available for a very reasonable price at cousinsuk; i did a group buy of these a while back -- click here to find links to the correct wheels from their site. am i missing something here? deltatahoe

incredible as usual rolli looks fantastic deltatahoe

consider yourself warned -- pams are extremely addicting. next thing you know, you'll own eight of them  deltatahoe

i feel like i can more easily spot a recessed cannon pin on a panerai than identify things that don't look quite right on a rolex, but maybe that's just me. i find judging rehaut on submariners from a distance is actually pretty tough... just my $0.02... deltatahoe

 sorry, but couldn't resist replying to this one....i'm wondering how many people caught the random funny email address...
-
looks good 310jag not sure what kind of strap your chocolate strap is, but i think you'll enjoy the watch even more with one really nice strap -- it makes all the difference for pams. deltatahoe
