  2. Wow, just looking at the pics, it screams quality!
  3. I have some parts trickling in for a future, make shift, Daytona project. I have a 21J movement that has functioning seconds @ 6, in addition sweeping large second hand, and lazy moving 3 & 9 sub dials. In short. I want to freeze/lock/fix the large sweeping second hand, and 3 & 9 sub dials. The only thing I want running is the seconds @ 6 and hour/minute hands. Thoughts? (P.S. Tried Searching with no luck)
  4. First, I am in 100% agreement with Lani here, and use the same "guidelines" he mentioned. Next to play Devil's advocate regarding: This is a choose your altruistic path kind of a thing. I can argue the exact same thing about the Cattle/Beef Industry. 80% of Rain Forest deforestation is to raise cattle or grow corn to raise cattle. Next, there is a lot of immigrant/bordering on slave labor in many of the slaughterhouses. Water consumption, and water pollution from factory farms. (I am not saying I am anti-Cattle/Beef industry, just illustrating my point.) So this argument is somewhat moot. Perhaps you won't wear a Cartel watch, but you might still eat a Steak... Both can be seen in equally negative light.
  5. Surgery on what was an old Skiing injury. Fixing a little tendon issue. I am optimistic.
  6. Swiss Six Stitches Gauss Watch Possibly wearing on Right Wrist:
  7. Ditto. Plus, if you want to go Gen Swiss ETA 7750, only the slowbeat A7750 hands are a direct swap. Going A7750 28.8 to ETA 7750 requires broaching the chrono second hand. IIRC.
  8. Welcome. No mass produced replica of the 6538 exists. Closest are some red triangle 6536 or 55xx's. This is where a DIY or Franken project comes in. Enjoy,
  9. As someone who had a semi-successful purchase from Hont. Be informed, no PayPal or "regular CC" (hmmm site now shows Visa/MC). By the time you incur Western Union fees, etc, you might as well wait for our trusted cartel's to get a hold of these. Finally, it took almost a month after payment for the watch to ship. The watch received was, well, not to my standards. YMMV....
  10. Eager to follow this project. Keep the progress pics coming.
  11. http://panatime.com/ (for affordable straps) Use discount code RWG for 10% off IIRC.
  12. Oyster Braclet - Check. No Crown Guard - Nice Is it just me, or does anyone else see red/blue-black on the bezel? GMT?
  13. As a follow up to this, there is one FYI/Issue with this solution. The "cleaning wax" adheres very well, and if you attempt to wipe your watch with a cloth, you will transfer the wax from the bracelet to the crystal if you are not careful. Likewise, with long sleeves. I am constantly getting a film on the crystal from the wax. It does not hurt the crystal, but makes it look smudgy.
  14. My collection includes the following: PAM112 (DSN) PAM177 (DSN) PAM029 PAM222 I would say, the 111,112 are the common PAMs.
  15. Quick follow up question on the crystal... Can the crystal be removed/installed with regular press WITHOUT having to remove the bezel? On a side note, anyone every remove a Seiko bezel? Thanks,
  16. FWIW, I checked in with my friend who's camera I borrowed with similar frustration. Guess what, it was also the 75-300. Thanks for this link Andei3000:
  17. Vomits in mouth... I am surprised it has not been flagged down yet.
  18. If someone grabbed my wrist/arm, they would on the ground faster than a 28,800 second. I think what you did was fine. Sometimes the bigger the lie, the more believable. If that makes sense. By standing your ground and thrusting the watch upon him like you did-- probably took him by surprise. This guy was clearly a douchebag, so your fib is cool with me.
  19. Any chance for a comparison set to the same day/date. A bit more apples to apples comparison? Thanks,
