  1. Digging the dirty subdials, cc! This is going to be a good one.
  2. sgtuk: Very nice Longines! We don't see those often enough. Just ended my first long-ish bike ride in a while, wearing this Russian:
  3. Looking terrific, J! I'm still missing my 6239 and its steel bezel, unfortunately.
  4. Already back, J! Just getting nostalgic about the Pyrenees. (Not so much about that Fiat...)
  5. That's easy... That's like some kind of a "genstein"!
  6. It's a bit big for my wrist, but that Trans Ocean always catches my eye every time I walk into a Breitling AD. Very handsome, and classically-styled watch. Of course, given my preferences, I'd save my money for a vintage Breitling Top Time!
  7. I skipped the Tomatina! First off, I was traveling alone and, secondly, I'm still a bit banged-up after my biking accident last month. I spoke to a girl who attended, and she said it was a very unpleasant and claustrophobic hour.
  8. Old 2915 goes traveling: Bonus for you Ebel fans:
  9. You're nuts and an inspiration, Nikki6! Well done!
  10. Thanks for the comparison pics. I agree with icoopernicus that "rip-off" is a bit harsh given all the common designs there are between brands, but it's definitely a strong resemblance. Add some pictures of the Hamilton Jazzmaster, and you get triplets. Re: the OP: I love old Heuers, but I like TAG-Heuer a lot, too. Before I was even "into watches", my dream watch was a Cal. 36 TAG Monza. Would still love to own one. I think part of of the reason why TAG gets a bad rap is because 1) they were so ubiquitous in the late 80s and early 90s as THE watch to have, 2) as cromag said, designs like the S/el did not age gracefully and 3) the constant advertising got obnoxious (Senna, yes. Leo "I can't be bothered to actually wear this watch" di Caprio, no thanks.). And I have to say, I like the direction that TAG's headed these days. I can't say the same for old favorites like Omega and Rolex.
  11. Would be nice if you did. Which TAG model rips off the Portuguese?
  12. Terrific comparison! I'm very excited about getting my TC Sub back now.
  13. D: Is this the gen bracelet in the pictures? This looks like a rep folded-link.
  14. Glad you could join the fun, gasdoc!
