  1. There seems to be some sort of 1016 renaissance going on right now. I love it! Great build. That Yuki dial is a huge improvement over what they were selling not too long ago.
  2. Here's the shot I was looking for earlier:
  3. Had to have a shot of the wonderful caseback engraving, courtesy of justasgood and janeto72.
  4. I polished up that handle so carefullee That now I am the Ruler of the Queen's Navee!
  5. Thanks, E! Unfortunately, this was less about Mark Spitz and more of Greg LeMond. Crashed my bike on Monday evening and landed on my face/brow, to the tune of 12 stitches and a lower orbital fracture.
  6. The Speedmaster, by a whisker. Aero_Dave: Love that huge T-Graph!
  7. Keep at it, D! It's worth the effort!
  8. Feeling low after an extended hospital stay yesterday. Call me shallow, but a Daytona cheers me right up:
  9. Congrats, DH! That's a very nice build topped off with a great dial. I will second sigsvoor's suggestion to shorten the springbars so that the tips are recessed in the holes. That's the only improvement significant improvement I can think of, though everything looks great as-is.
  10. I am not going to argue about the precise reflective/refractive qualities of the 216570's black dial, but I will quote this: That's from Watches by SJX. The same article from which you pulled that photo.
  11. Have you looked at the actual Exp II at an AD? The finish of the black dial is identical to that of a Milgauss.
  12. Thanks, F! However, I'm based in Canada now.
  13. Amazing, Chi, and great job repurposing that 7924 case!
  14. Beautiful! The engraving looks terrific.
  15. The '57 was gone for a while, but Zig straightened it out and now it's back:
  16. I took these a few weeks back. It's a good-looking watch, but -retro-grouch that I am- there are changes to the original that I don't care for e.g. the loss of the sunburst texture on the blue sections, the simplified hands, and the overall flatness of the dial (even when compared to the Tudor Heritage Chrono).
  17. Yes, you can give it a full charge. You just never reach a point where the crown stops turning.
