Can anyone review the NEW DSSD from Perfect clones?
Jkay replied to simonporsche's topic in The Rolex Area
New? Did they finally stop making you pay extra for the non-bunged bezel insert? That would be great. -
From the pearl looking like "a full glass of milk" this is a ETz v5 .. my v5 also has the clasp crown thing where the safety clasp is not totally flush. Lastly, the crystal edge being flush with the bezel dates this as a mid-2009 v5. I have no idea why some people have been crowing that the Ultimate DSSD is a better watch for the last 4 months; especially when you have to pay $ extra for the privilege of NOT receiving a junk bezel. The only reason I'd suggest against purchasing a v5 is that ETz seems to be MIA currently.

The bracelets on DSSDs have been this good for almost 1 year v3/Ultimate have a missing pin in the diver's clasp and the Eurotimez v5 has some "crown" issues on the clasp. My v5 is 9 months old now so i dont know if they've addressed that issue yet. All in all, the bracelets are awesome, tho.

The UPO (ultimate planet ocean) is a replica of the 45.5mm omega planet ocean. They are available in blk/wht, blk/orange and pumpkin color schemes. The UPO case is capable of accepting all visible genuine parts, so in essence, you can make this watch as close to "perfect" as you can afford. Just buy genuine dial, hands, crown, crystal, and bracelet and you have a lovely Planet Ocean which is hardly discernible from the genuine. I have never seen the dimple dial PO 007 but the Seamaster 007 in black dial you picture is readily available. Narikaa sells a 42mm and a 45mm planet ocean in all 3 color schemes. They are not super replicas and can not accept genuine parts but they are considered on of the finest values in the replica world at about 110usd for the very good quality they bring to the table. Whenever he receives a shipment, they sell out very quickly. Personally, I own 1 Narikaa 42mm and 1 UPO 45mm

Watchbitz tools/parts shop gives deep discounts to RWG members. They have every tool you could possibly want and the prices you wish other places would offer. Take a look at their site Watchbitz prices are in AU dollars so they are lower than you think, to begin with, if you are from the USA, as you are.

Bell & Ross BR 01-92 Functional or working screws on the caseback
Jkay replied to mactower's topic in Other Brands Area
My 01-94 has the proper screws and removable lugs (that's what the screws do, release the watchband lugs) so keep your hopes high. You might find this in a 92 -
Glashutte Senator Sixties - gen or good quality rep straps available?
Jkay replied to Member X's topic in Other Brands Area
Ooooo AHhh!! Nice -
Every trusted watch dealer here has a section for Bell & Ross. Just look in the Watch Collector sales areas and you'll find the web sites of email addresses you need to locate and order the watches you want. Since this is your first post, you might not know that the replica watch dealers here are called "collectors" and they have been screened for reliability. Buy with confidence.

The Q&A at the bottom of the sale states the hands are new service hands and that the dial has been re-lumed. That would explain your concerns, if it's the truth.

Glashutte Senator Sixties - gen or good quality rep straps available?
Jkay replied to Member X's topic in Other Brands Area
There are several highly talented strap makers on this board. I'm sure one or more of them could help you in any material you like. -
Zig is your neighbor to the north and I can recommend him as well for lume and service work. Only Zig should give you his own email .. I wouldnt presume to do that.

Welcome back. You're a good man to head down there for an extended period on an emergency basis.

Oh I wasn't trying to imply that buying from Shopping Channel was low class. I meant that soulless shills hawking crap with a fake smile make me sick.

Has Anyone Tried Submersing The SuperOcean?
Jkay replied to Tressles61's topic in The Breitling Area
I would be plain astonished if Ivory Soap could eat through the seals on my DSSD in the 5yr interim between servicings. I'll keep you apprised of the situation. -
OOOOO AHHHH OHHHH!! Very good choice. I want one!

I shower with my SOSF and my DSSD on alternating days. The natural oils from your body really dull the steel so they look amazing when you get out and dry them off. These watches have been serviced and I am certain they are waterproof. I can not guarantee your watch is waterproof. -
Whats the current price on the un-released SeaDweller, BK? This guy's looking for an SD.

and I see there's a screw trapped between the display back and the movement ... so I think to myself "Self .. good thing it's not caught in the works but where the hell did that come from" I look at it .. and look at it .. it's kind of long and very thin ... and then it hits me. It's the adjustment screw from the swan neck regulator. It's floating around inside the case. Do you know how SMALL the hole is that this screw needs to be in?! Very small. After about 20 minutes it's all back together and sealed up. I check the display back for fingerprints and I'm glad to see none .. whew. I'll watch it for a while and see if it backs out again.

I would indeed be interested in classic-case "vintaged" complete watches crafted to a nice standard ... keep us updated and I will be here on the edge of my chair
-
That is indeed a lovely watch, and I would consider buying the version in SS .. @ ronin I love the Longines Master series, as well (non chrono please) .. the dial dimpling is soooo sublime.
-
@ronin you are projecting your own social slant on everyone here .. I've used this example before, but Bell & Ross reps are totally under the radar. When people ask me about it, they think it's a department store watch. You can't use the Rolex replica example to cover all bases. If I wore an IWC rep or a B&R or a Montblanc .. 90% of people I meet or deal with would have no idea what they were supposedly representing. I just love a beautiful watch, and don't want to feel like I was completely taken advantage of cost-wise when I buy one. Even my UPO has gotten some nice compliments but no one I deal with understands that it's "supposed to be" a multi-thousand dollar watch. For some perspective, I own an A8 ... I'm not a burger flipper ... so people who are not teenagers, who make a good living, can still be completely ignorant of what the replica watch you wear is supposed to represent .. and thus you are under the radar. If I strap on the DSSDv5 then all bets are off. A dog knows what Rolex is supposed to mean. As for the "you should get an Invicta if you are serious about your stance" argument ... Invicta to me carries the stench of the Home Shopping Channel and Jersey Shore ... it just feels tainted to me.

BK's Watch Garage is releasing a new SeaDweller ... supposedly the best yet. Look in his area here on this board and you will easily see the discussion about this watch. if you can wait several months for it then it's your best bet. The watch is still being created so it's not ready to buy .. you have to wait.
-
Some very good thoughts already posted here. I expect any rep I buy to be free of obvious mechanical or cosmetic problems and to run +/- 15 secs a day once it's been serviced ... let me also throw in there that I expect orders to be turned around within a month unless it's CNY In my opinion, people who expect the World from reps are a pox on the Community, driving good dealers to close shop and clogging the boards with ceaseless whining.

As for Gen tritium ... there are modders who purchase tritium EXIT (for office buildings) signs ... which are openly available, then grind them up and lume watches with the tritium sign powder. As for the danger ... there is none. Tritium is so weakly radioactive that standing in the sun is much more harmful to you than wearing the watch.
