it's all a question of personal preference but functionally if you have a chrono you need the large hand so you can time things.
Who actually check seconds when you look at your watch? Only when you are timing things. If you have a chrono that's how you do it.
I'm not sure I fully understood your question. Yes you can run seconds on the center post of a 7750 but that gear is actually the chrono seconds.
What kind of setup are you looking for? If you want the seconds running on center post, where would the chrono seconds run?
The date wheel is totally independent from the chrono so that's not an issue.
I carry my reps with me all the time while traveling thru Europe. Once a security guy asked about my watches and wanted to see them. I showed them, he said OK, and then I went. If you are carrying a varied selection they won't mind either (just don't carry 5 of the same watch).
Like the other said, on your wrist, nobody will bother you.
Besides some of our reps are hard to spot even with a lupe. How would a security person at the airport know any better?
The closest Panerai model would be the PAM115 but the movement would be incorrect, the dial is incorrect, the bracelet (should be a leather strap) is incorrect, the crown guard is incorrect.
Plus when you actually see it in person they look cheap (the AR being the worst part). Like I said, these kind of watches feel/look like Canal St. stuff.
As for the movement, the 6497 is a workhorse. Easy to replace if necessary as well.
I know nothing about Zeniths so I can't comment. I don't get quartz models but that's just a personal opinion.
Yep, DSN should be the way to start of the cartel auto ultimates.
All these <$350 PAMs look like Canal St. junk. I'd stay away from it (CG, AR, crystal, canon pin, crown, dial, lume, bracelet - all bad).
