Hmmm... So, the warranty papers and receipt from my DVD player probably don't carry the same weight?

Okay... So, how does mine compare? Note that mine has a reflection of the dial at the base of the rehaut. You can see where the dial meets the rehaut near the 1:00 marker...

I've got $3k into my El Primero Daytona... And I'd gladly do it again. I don't mind spending what I do on watches, and I don't spend what I do because I'm desperate to have something that's only pretending to be something else. I do what I do because it's fun. It's fun to build. It's fun to see how close to gen I can get. Not because I'm trying to fool someone into thinking my rep is a gen... But because it's a hobby, and buying genuine is frankly quite boring to me. The last gen I bought was my vintage Seamaster 300, and it just sits in my watch box, as there's nothing to do to it. I bought it, brought it home, took some pictures of it, and put it away. Don't get me wrong... I appreciate gens, and there are some I'd still like to purchase, but they're just not as interesting to me as reps.

You may want to have this post moved to General discussion, where it will be seen by a larger audience. In addition, if you have any pics to include with your post on said watch, that would probably help as well. Just as an FYI- There are several excellent dealers on the forum, most of which have watches very similar to your decription posted above (but perhaps more realistic and honest in their descriptions of their watches than some other net 'dealers').

Correct- The V23 is a bi-compax movement, so the 6:00 register is frozen. To me, it's not a huge deal since I never use the stopwatch function on any of my watches, but the lack of this function boters some people At any rate- fitting a v72 will require some work. Mostly, it's grinding the interior of the case, which can be tricky unless you know someone who has a lathe. Best of luck! R

Just a few more pics... Again, please disregard the rough dial on the white Daytona- It's in place for mock up purposes (same with the strap)... I just used used the crown. Basically, thread the crown to the tube and then thread the tube into the case. Keep turning until seated completely.

pitimany, To use the Swiss V23, you'll need a combination of: V72 hands, V23 hands and mystery movement hands. It's a mix and match- i.e. hour minute are from one set, center seconds is from another set, and subdial hands are from the other set. So, you need parts from all 3 sets. Hope that makes sense (I could be explaining it incorrectly). For the stem... I used a tap 10 with genuine crown.

collector- My dial is the one that came delivered with my DW originally. Just re-used it, as it's still quite accurate.
