  1. Man, that's a hell of a build, great parts, love the dial! Siesta yours is a beauty, too! Amazing watches!
  2. For my MBW Milsub currently being build I also went with an Ingod dial. Ingod's no date dials are amazing quality for the money, most apparent flaw for me is the shape of the R in Rolex (when you compare it to the milsub dial batch my build is trying to emulate). I feel the shape of the crown makes up for it though. From normal distance, the dial printing is very convincing. I also thought about buying a gen dial for a moment and have the Milsub "T" added, but just couldn't get myself to cut the dial feet. For ETA builds, I think Ingod's dials are the best bang for the buck at the moment. NDT's, from what I can tell from pictures floating around here and there are very good quality, probably a little better, but more expensive as well. They are about half the cost of some matte gen versions and that's just something I couldn't justify on a non-gen movement build.
  3. So this one's really aftermarket? I thought it was genuine, but in a pretty poor state. What are the tells?
  4. Could you please post a straight shot of the dial? It really looks very, very accurate.
  5. That 1665 dial is amazing, stunning duo! Beautiful!
  6. I'd be interested in one of his black boxes for 4 watches. I'm in Europe as well but I'd be willing to pay for shipping myself if he offers a discount on the box.
  7. I guess that replacement case Concepta promised me 1 1/2 year ago is down the drain then, but then again I already knew that when he stopped answering the emails I sent every 4-5 months or so. To be honest, I don't feel like it's a big loss for the rep community that he's out of business. I can't speak for the Texski assembled IWCs, but some Domi assembled ones were of subpar quality and Concepta's after sales communications was lacking at best...
  8. Beautiful dial!
  9. I can't tell a difference. Almost all my packages get inspected. Not sure if I'm on some kind of blacklist or something (never got caught with rep stuff, I just order a lot of watch parts from overseas), but they really do open every package I receive and have me provide invoices every single time, it doesn't seem to make a difference where it is from.
  10. German customs is a real pain. They seem to check every single package from China, therefore it's almost impossible to get complete watches or other rep goods through these days. To avoid problems you will have to go with inner European shipping from easier countries like GB, some TDs offer this detour service. It's a little bit more expensive, but well worth it in the end when you receive your watch without any hassle. As a plus you will save import tax as well, so in the end it will only take a little longer.
  11. If you are talking mystery movement vs. V7750 modified to handwound 7760, definitely go for the V7750, MM will break eventually and will then be impossible to fix.
  12. I just sent you his contact details.
  13. You could buy a genuine dial for 400€ from a well known Italian seller, no idea if it will fit though. Here's a picture:
  14. BEAUTIFUL! Amazing stuff, M! Another great writeup and superb watch, a true work of art! I'm with you in your opinion on Phong's case, but after you've gathered all these parts, the few hundred more shouldn't matter anyhow . In the end, a few happy months on the wrist later on you won't even care.

    Rolex 6263

My understanding is that the V726 is a slightly improved V72 with higher beat rate of 21600 vs 18000. V722 is the rolex version of a V72 with Breguet overcoil and Microstella adjustment on the balance added. It was used in the non screw down versions if I remember correctly, earlier versions had a V72B. I believe 6240s were also equipped with V722s, I don't know if some of them used V727s as well (or 72B even in very early versions). V727 is simply a V726 with the same improvements as caliber V722 and has been used in the Oyster versions with screw-down pushers as well as in the later pump pusher models (around 1970 onwards - pump pushers were phased out pretty early in the 70s I think). As the beat rate on the Rolex Versions V722 and V727 differs the same as V72 vs. V726 I think it is right to assume that in fact these are the individual base calibers for V722 and V726 accordingly. I have yet to a see a V72 or V726 converted to V722 or V727 respectively with Microstella adjustment, so while the engravings look good for me that's a tell. Generally I would advice to stick to V72s for pump pusher models, as calibers with this beat rate were most commonly used in these models, and V726s for screw-down Oyster models because almost all of them had V727s installed. Also building a correct 6240 would involve modifiying an aftermarket case quite a bit as the dimensions are slightly different (6240 being smaller), but that's another story.

    Rolex 6263

While the movement looks quite similar, there still remain some differences, though. Also the correct base caliber is a V726, not V72, the beat rate is different. Nevertheless it really does look convincing, enjoy your watch.
  17. Thanks guys, will stick with my MBW then!
  18. Could some experts please let me know their opinion on the 5513 MBW bezel assembly? Are there any better affordable aftermarket solutions or is the only noticeable upgrade a gen assembly? I'm (still ) gathering the last remaining parts for my milsub build, I am currently looking a CWP's insert and awaiting pics of his current offering. Any experience with his complete assembly or should I just stick with the insert only? Any better milsub inserts you are aware of? Thanks Oh btw.: Any good Fat Font inserts as well? I really don't want to throw hundreds of Euros out the window for one.
  19. Great watch! I can relate to your experience, in the end it's the small details that make all the difference!
  20. There's indeed been a discussion going on in the gen world for several years now, if these non-oyster 6240s are genuine. I don't think a definite "verdict" has been reached so far. Personally I believe there are numerous explanations why a non-oyster dial might have been installed in a watch when it was first delivered to the original buyer. For one ADs back in the days had parts lying around in piles and might have just opted to change a black dial for a silver one when they didn't have one in stock and the customer desperately wanted one. Another explanation might be that Rolex Geneva themselves used what they had lying around for these models, after all 6240s were in some kind of prototype status back then and not readily available as far as I'm aware... If i were to buy one of these though, I'd pay less than for an Oyster version for sure.
  21. Sorry to hear that, my Yuki bracelet was a big improvement over DW, perhaps he's changed his supplier.
