That is very sad news... only a couple of days ago, we had a family dinner on the occasion of my mom's obit. Several years ago, she too passed away after a lengthy illness, so I know the feeling.
My heartfelt condolences, Reg.
Yep... definitely fake.
Even if someone wouldn't know the details (I do as you can see from my signature), the style of the write-up and the bad pictures - which nontheless try to avoid all the problematic closeups, speak volumes... Breaks my heart to see someone loosing more than 1k on this one...
Still this.... 111h transplanted into a PVD case on a gen PAM nylon strap (I know it's gen because I bought this strap at an AD before finding the rep version which costs 20% and is absolutely identical )
Sorry for the crappy mobile phone pic... my camera is MIA
Puggy... why do you let the absence of brains in some people's heads influence your decisions....
@delta ... this is one beautiful watch and expecially looking at all the superduperreallyexpensive gens (like submariners, to take another diving gen as an example) out there, it is great value for money.
Here is what's on my wrist today.... just got the case from Tourby (great deal, great guy) and dropped in my 111H dial&movement. Nato strap I bought on the bay...
Black is beautiful.....
Very interesting post, Rollie... so much for CN QC.
My Steelfish fortunately has proven to be waterresistant... but if I had taken my Silix PO 007 with "extra $$ for waterproofing" to the test - without first tightening the caseback myself another 1.5 turns.....
Im very surprised about the PAMs... I was never sure about PAM reps being waterproof.
M. .. are you sure about that engraving on the caseback? "Kampfschwimmerzeit" sounds strange to me (as I speak fluent German). A "Kampfschwimmer" as we all know, is basically a seal and "zeit" means "time". The word makes no sense. "Kampfschwimmer-Zeitmesser" or "Kampfschwimmerzeitmesser" instead would mean seal-watch (Zeitmesser being an old German word for watch).
Owning two of the famous 074 noobies, I still consider this the best "value-for-money" deal in town... and your pictures are without competition...
and, to all our new members, asking for directions how to get one of these beauties, may I suggest to read TTK' section in the Watch Collector Galleries...
as the great Google used to say "....search and you will find..."
