  1. Wise words from a wise man. Though few people may comment, everyone who catches a glimpse makes an immediate assumption and as a consultant it's within your best interests to make, not necessarily a good first impression, but a correct one. Wow, just noticed this is a two year old thread. Oh well, timeless advice nevertheless.
  2. So long as it's Black Label. Apparently JW Black is the drink of choice of Saudi royalty and Saddam Hussein http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=AU#/watch?xl=xl_blazer&v=BP51NnoVErA If this doesn't work, just YouTube 'Christopher hitchens favorite drink', great little clip.
  3. No need to apologise mate, we've since knocked off a delightful 389 and for the break up party a late 90's 707. The palettes of each are quite differentiated, very nice I'm going slowly through a bottle of 1978 Napoleon brandy, fell into my lap and really delicious when warmed slowly over a glass of hot water.
  4. That thing is massive! Although it looks almost normal on Stallone:
  5. In Macedonian: Srekjen Božik Look what Santa got me
  6. +10. Or perhaps an article about how First Amendment rights have been slowly eroded by the government over the past decade. What an utterly banal, useless piece of prose. This article reads like some Top Twenty by a pimple-faced attention-seeking dweeb on Digg.
  7. Wow... They certainly don't talk about that in the TV commercials... 500 cookies every 720 days, not incl. Service costs. I suppose it's a quartz, not much to fiddle around with in there...
  8. Is it me' or is there something off about the sub dial and datewheel fonts on this one? Not sure what it is about the '12' is the datewheel, it looks very 'Asian-rep'-like...
  9. A really great collection and representative of some of the finest franken pieces (reps with gen straps etc), I think we all start with big acquisitions of various pieces, but eventually settle on 3-6 really solid pieces we wear daily. By the way, that 312 really is a special piece. Wear it well mate
  10. Maybe we should send him through a double slit and see if he behaves as a light corpuscle or as a wave... At least that's what Young would do... Welcome to the forum mate, men of science, reason and a penchant for watches are always welcome
  11. These red bond subs are like the new Stradivarius... All these people caught a glimpse of Dr. Diver Bob making a killing in these tough financial times and chasing down some of grandad's old watches and hoping to make some cash.
  12. The new A7753 reps should take care of the datewheel problem, and the cadesixe is 43mm excl. crown. Perfect size for everyday wear.
  13. What a great doco, and most importantly, the acknowledgement by the watch dealer upon seeing the fake Nautilus for $300 that the Swiss watch makers really ARE taking the [censored] out of their customers... Great little doco, cheers for the link guys!
  14. You've just got yourself on the Worldwide 'No - Ling' list... The B-Boys will have their eyes on you...
  15. That's one of the funniest skits I've heard, He's a genius
  16. Not a single Breitling, Stormtrooper? Not even a Steelfish? Or a Navi? Or an Avenger? Montbrillant? *shakes head* how can you call yourself a watch collector... Tsk tsk!
  17. Tough times on the horizon for Wheaton... IPod wristwatch, Panerai 312... I feel for you my friend
  18. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha great call
  19. Something sporty, with a chronograph for timing. Will take a fair knock, as you'll be running around, but not overly big and distracting. I'd say Tag Heuer Link, the epitome of sportiness. Remember, Jason Bourne wears a Link
  20. ...or a sunbathing dermatologist, or a struggling aspiring musician who torrents music to find inspiration. The world is full of irony my friend ) Rolex Explorer sounds nice... But definitely not gold... Stainless Steel is wearable by everyone and doesn't draw unwanted attention... Except if it's a Breitling... )
  21. Amy Winehouse - Do me good. A B-Side off her first album 'Frank', a great fusion of slow beat-driven bass licks and her sexy sexy voice floating over the top...
  22. The problem is that many songs use similar chord structures. The video is from a famous Australian musical comedy satire act who claim that most of the famous songs in the last couple of decades contain the same four chord sequence. It's hilarious http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pidokakU4I
  23. You must be f$&king joking... That is terrible!
