Considering that Ian Fleming somewhat based the character on himself it should come as no surprise. He died at age 56 having had a heart attack at 53. He was know to drink a bottle of gin and smoke 70 cigarettes a day! He did produce a great spy character though.
I think he means if you put marks on the case due to wear and eventually it stops working, then there will be a better version available by then. Then just buy another one. Just buy it and enjoy it!
Canal street quality. This watch is all wrong. Likely a 21j movement too, who knows. The box could be worth more! I guess the moral is always buy from a TD.
Nice posting. I have had a couple of these in the past and they are a nice solid watch. I do remember that the bezel looked more gen like though. I do not think they had the concentric circle look to the black rubber surface. It looks stunning on a gen bracelet, but not eay to find at a reasonable price. Enjoy
