  1. I have the bezel you need to take it over the top! And a gen tropic for it too...
  2. You can do better than that, get her a gen. This solid gold beauty was $270 on the 'Bay.
  3. Hey Rodge, welcome. Some of us here view a ban from WUS as a badge of honor. What are you waiting for? Buy a watch and tear it apart! Then rebuild it to run backwards with an added Moon Phase.
  4. Here's a radial dial 1675, though after years of being beat over the head by DocBlackRock, she now lives on riveted Oyster.
  5. It was the best of Tudors, it was the ... um, well, the best of Tudors. Nice!
  6. Harold has all that stuff on his site: http://www.pmwf.com/Phorum/read.php?10,91303,91303 You can build a "Snowflake" Seiko too, if that blows your skirt up. I think it was $350 all in. Pretty cheap fun.
  7. The stock crystal can be delaminated with enough force. I know. So go talk to Harold and get a nice AR coated slightly domed sapphire crystal like this http://www.pmwf.com/Phorum/read.php?10,91303,91303
  8. Most likely this will not work. The hand stack usually has a pin opening for the hours hand that is much larger than the minutes hand. You might be able to find a hand from another movement that will fit your hours pin, Or you might be able to cut a minutes hand and solder onto an hours base, Or you might find a Yobokies hand that will work. Good luck! http://m161.photobucket.com/albums/yobokies/Hands/?src=www&start=40
  9. Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like bananas. Gʋυ=8πTʋυ
  10. What an amazing gesture! Thanks JAG! A small detail... the 1675 uses a 5.3mm crown, but judicious trimming of the CGs ought to make a 6mm fit just fine. Make sure you don't mix up the tubes!
  11. If you're going to buy one built up, be sure to ask about the movement too... has it been serviced? How does it work? I bought a magnificent build and just heard from Ziggy that there were screws loose, screws missing, chipped pallet exit stone, the wrong pieces installed, stuff like that. He did a spectacular job for me and put it right, but for less money I could have thrown away the movement that came with the build, and sent a tired old 2784 for cleaning and service... and had a better movement. Lesson learned... I didn't specifically ask about the movement when I bought it.
  12. There's one more transitional piece, the "radial" dial. It has smaller, more inset dots, as if Rolex was preparing to add the gold surrounds... but didn't quite get around to it. It's matte as well and very rare.
  13. Roger that. Perhaps I'll pick it up in person?? Must remember to bring a wad of duct tape to pop the back...
  14. Boy if you don't want it, I'm all over this!
  15. You got it! There's more than a few vintage fans here. Welcome!
  16. +1 I got the same vibe from the sudden avalanche of "unobtainable" NOS bezels that flooded the 'bay a few months ago. And some of those sellers are esteemed VRM / TRF members.
  17. When we get this much overnight... We just say SCREW IT!!! and go for a ride! But we have to be careful not to run into telephone poles
  18. Lovely orangeness? Yes there's a third watch there, it's, um, invisible.
  19. How about these? Not a Rolex in sight.
  20. Hey, I'll have you know one of them has a chocolate brown dial. So there.
  21. Here are three of my faves...
