  1. Is this thread really at the end?
  2. I got my son the i phone for his birthday and he dropped it accidently, shattering the screen, which is made of glass. Apple would not cover the warranty as it was not a functional problem, and they offered to replace it for $250. I then got my boy an LG, which is a good phone, so perhaps he will be more careful, however 200. for the new one is pretty good, and with a service contract through ATT, should run half that. Not bad.
  3. Another vote for the HBB. This is quite the watch. [url=http://g.imageshack.us/g.php?h=441&i=dsc05345edited1sf0bp0sz2.jpg]
  4. Now that 232 is as close to a gen as any I have seen. Really nice, enjoy it in the best of health.
  5. Saturday and my 127. [url=http://g.imageshack.us/g.php?h=59&i=dsc05563ew7.jpg]
  6. It is only 92 here in Vegas today, which is cool for the 6th of June, but for the next 3 plus months we are looking at 105 to 125 in the shade and over 100 at 3 in the AM. I also, hate summer. My short respite in Finland this July will be most welcome, but then to Japan in August where the summers are incredibly hot and humid. Hard to win sometimes.
  7. They should still chop off the hands of thieves. Sends a good message. Having something stolen from you makes it feel very much like a personal violation and it is painful indeed. Dani was right to lament his loss in this forum where he can find at least genuine sympathy, and understanding. The Zigmeister has one of the better reps around and the chance he was the culprit is less than zero, although it does warrant mentioning as a warning if watch shipments are being pilfered by Canadian Postal workers. We must always share this kind of info with each other so we know where pitfalls might lay, so Dani stating what happened was the right thing to do.
  8. Thats a splendid reptile strap there Lani. Awesome combo Bruddah!
  9. The Sinn watch is cheap, and making rep watches in itself is a sin, so we would have sinn piled on sin with more sinners sinning like sins of beeches!
  10. Next will be the John F kennedy DNA watch with actual pieces of skull imbedded. Morbid curiosity attracts a great many people. Bad taste? Indeed. Human nature? Unfortunately, yes
  11. What a shame, such a good looking watch. It sure looks like a gouge in the case, and though it is not to noticible, it should not have been sent to you in that condition. It is really a battle with yourself to buy or not buy from Davidsen, because on one hand, it seems that the quality of his Panerai reps are the best available, if you are lucky and get one with no faults or glaring QC issues. I have wanted to get a number of watches from him, and have only one, because of so many rerports of issues. It is almost not worth the anxiety of wondering if your purchase will be ok, and if it is not, going through the hoops and hassles of getting it right.
  12. Does the club Rockza still exist on Kapiolani and Kalakaua? Great place to have a GTG at night, then in the daytime, Lanikai Beach of course. I'm due back to the islands.......I seem to hear the Pali calling me, I seem to hear the surf at Waikiki, and from Pacific Heights, I seem to see the lights, of a city that is very dear to me..I seem to see the waving sugar cane,The cocoa palms all nodding in the rain In fancy I am led Back to dear old Diamond Head, Honolulu I am coming back again.
  13. Looks like they could use a wristwatch salesman to drop in for a visit.
  14. It's a beauty for sure Lanikai. My buddy just got the full gold version from Trusty last week and it is really impressive. Probably my fav Rollie.
  15. That is a beautful watch indeed. It looks to be yellow gold yet the specs say it is stainless steel. Very elegant design and a big watch at that which makes it all the better.

    Art robbery

    I like this one alot.
  17. Every few days I am at the Torneau admiring the U Boat line of watches. They are awesome. The 'Thousands of Feet' with red dial and silver case is my favorite. This is a 56mm watch, and quite impressive. Should there be a reps made of U Boat, I will get one.
  18. Yes, you are in huge trouble. It is still not to late to run away. Otherwise, welcome and be sure to keep your medical plan up to date.
