  1. The spring actually worked very well. I received a pack of ten. If anyone needs one just PM me. E
  2. Yes, we can definitely disagree. This is the whole point of the post LOL. I see your point, but also understand that the watches themselves were (and still are) not to everyone's taste. The thing that peeked everyone's interest in the brand was the simple military heritage and the fact that everything about the watch was purposeful. Heritage is key here.
  3. I for one like the simpler older PAMs. I would love to see their newer models with the rotating bezels and funky dials, etc... Be part of a sub brand child. Kinda like scion is for Toyota. Their in-house movements are getting better, but some of their "modern twist" designs are blah. Stick to what you know and has persevered. Your bread and butter should not be messed with. After all, they have survived for more than a few decades sticking to their roots. Just my HO.
  4. Too bad this cake a year too late lol. 3717 on NATO today. {forgot the pictures earlier}
  5. The TC case is wider at the lugs. This has been documented to infinitum. The best case for gen bracelet fit imho is the ST case.
  6. Misi can service the movement and he has been doing some great research/development with the y3135. E
  7. One of the biggest issues I have in selling around the forums is that after discussing full price net you cover the fees, members still send the amount minus the fees. On higher priced items it becomes an issue. Most members understand, some others not too sure. Then as a seller you have to hound these people for the fees etc... And it becomes a pain in the [censored] as well as embarrassing. It you as a buyer agree to a price net fees on you, dammit just do that. Don't send the funds via PP and hope the buyer will just eat it. Part of the pricing on most items have an understanding of fees, shipping charges and loss on the seller's behave. Just needed to vent. E
  8. DSN should be able to help worse case scenario. I am planning something along the lines of a Ti 202 for simplicity of the base dial. Post pictures of your project when you're done. E
  9. As the title states, I need to get one of those spring washers for the 3717/3777 anti-magnetic cover. I tried the search function, but maybe my wording is wrong. Thanks in advance. E
  10. ^^^ If this is the one on ebay, I don't think it is. E
  11. I think it looks great on a nato strap or nasa band as well. Just saying. [emoji12]
  12. Either strap depending on what plots you have. The inside of the strap has a concave design to accepts the plots. If you have a small trimming tool or Dremel, you can carefully remove material to move the strap closer to the case if the fit is not perfect. You may, or not need to do this depending on strap, plot and maker. E
  13. You can trim the "pockets" of the strap for a better fit. I find it makes a big difference. The modified V7 is not a bad candidate at all. I still wonder, why did the factories stay away from the case back gasket as found on the v3.5, which looks more like the gasket on the ROO chronos? Then again, which gasket is more gen like? Not thread-jacking, just adding to this one. The water resistance is imperative if you're getting into a project like this. You NEED to ensure that after all of the mods, you can still get it wet, or you will have some issues wearing it out in public. E
  14. Fixed up Noob Black Themes V1 on Diver strap with rounded pushers. Mods by me. Diver V4 on the back. Meant to post these up a while back
  15. Wonder if the 2840 can be a donor for these parts as well.
  16. Be careful not to smear the superglue all in there or you'll never get it out. The way I have done it is to take all of the other acres out and wiggle the bracelet while shaking the case slightly. Good luck brother. E
  17. I say look for a 111 V3 or a decent 177. You won't regret it. Water right with little effort an completely unassuming. Wears well with anything.
  18. I do too. I have kept a few pewter cases to work on later.
  19. The ETA 2840 will be a nightmare to install. No setup for dial feet and height is wrong. Best feasible option is to gather the donor parts from a 2846 and make it a slow beat this way.
  20. With the smart phone the pocket watch has indeed made a comeback.
  21. There is a slight angle before the bevel, but not sure if it goes that high up.
  22. With that case this build is going to be amazing! The y3135 really likes the stem at date set position for inserting and extracting.
