Very nice!!! I may have to order one of these myself I like the idea of sterilizing the dial and just wear as is after waterproofing and working the case. Thanks for sharing. E Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Only case or a sean case. The ST case needs some work and massaging to make it even better. But it works very well. E Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Haha. Yeah brother. New job and a kid that doesn't sleep plus got back into cars again. Have been super busy. Plus the forums have changed a bit since a few years ago. I still browse though. How are things brother? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Hahaha funny guy. Lol. [emoji851] I love the chronograph. Had to service the movement but she's good now. Still looking for those Brembo boxster calipers for the B6 now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Work makes anything right. The 1665 could be made into a beater ore comex. The 5513 could be made into a sterile gilt build. Let me know if you want to unload one. [emoji56] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The case profile and lugs are thicker. Overall not a bad watch. Make sure to get a thicket gasket for the plexi-to-case sealing.

Correct Rolex tube thread and pitch is m3x.035. Rethread using this and insert gen spec tube with loctite. No gorilla strength, just tight. Let it cure for 24hrs and you're set
Heat up that area and get a file of the right size and press it in there and twist away. Then rethread and insert correct tube with
Blue loctite.

The home plate black dialed Tudor I built had the t128 from the group buy intact and the DW unit. I was waiting for a black plexi bezel to use the unit from the group buy. I believe that group buy was for the same gen spec crystal phong sells.
You can still search my sell thread and look at the pictures. I haven't deleted anything just to make sure there's always proof. I can't say what was done to the watch after I sold it though. I miss it.
I currently have a DW 7032 case with a domed crystal and no cyclops fitted to it. Was going for a different build. Unfortunately I can't tell you what model it is because it was in a box I have full of plexus gen and aftermarket. Looks like a sure fit t19 style but works.

I wonder now if The dial can be made sterile and just install a bakelite bezel. I would be more than ok to wear the watch as is in sterile form(hate to threadjack)
The pic I posted is of a gen watch. I think phong is selling the bezels. From the part number it looks like the mkii 6263 bezels are the trick?
I hear you. Not the same though. There is just such a subtle touch in the different material combinations with the 16520
I'm looking to build something like this with a black dial. I love the bakelite bezels. Call me crazy. Hate to resurrect, but looking for sources. If the JF case can be modified, where can one source a decent dial and plexi bezel for this build?
