  1. Define perfectly aligned ? LOL The dates are actually well matched. Perhapds slightly bottom biased on same dates, but certainly not all. This can easily be fixed by bending the dial feet to align properly. I honestly don't get the "horror" of the date alignment, when it can simply be fixed with dial orientation. The factories can easily get this right. Although there may be a thousand variations, I am sure an alignment jig will be easy to source for the fix
  2. APs have been getting my attention lately. Guess it is the hobby. V7 diver today
  3. V7 diver for plowing and playing in the snow today
  4. One of the best changes ever!
  5. That ST assembly should fit the gen insert without any issues. It's a tight fit, but it is well worth it in the end. Don't shave the insert
  6. It's the beauty and pain of this hobby. The end result if you keep working at it is a watch that is uniquely yours and does exactly as you want. E
  7. Looking for a 42mm Ti case for a custom build. Could be from any v1-v5 model. Need the complete case, bezel and case back and plots if you have them. Trying to build a custom black themes dial with custom blasted Ti case. Thanks in advance. E
  8. I did that for the 1016 I sold I few months back and also on the McQueen build I had for my birthday last year. Works like a charm. Plan on doing that next to my wife's 14270. So far the average of the 2840 movements is decent enough that I can just buy one for the donor parts and sell the rest to someone that may need it. E
  9. Looks great just like that. Bravo! E
  10. D, you can use the setting parts from the 2840 to have just two clicks at the stem. One for winding and another one for time set. Side the 5513 doesn't have a date it works great. Ditch the rest. 2846 all the way.
  11. Oh suki!!! J, that is the start of great things indeed.
  12. The key in this game is patience and perseverance. Have a little stash for when those rare moments become a reality and snatch the parts. Having a clear goal of what you want is KEY as well.
  13. Your Inbox is full brother. I am looking at old posts regarding AP roos and customizing them as I just purchased a V1 chrono. I wanted to know if you did anything to the watch before diving to 60ft. Thanks in advance.
  14. I'm Really digging it. I can see it on a few 5514s and fitting the look just fine. Specially precomex.
  15. Bump for a great thread. Stilty, are you around? E
  16. In the US JMB is the man. Worst case scenario he can do it if there's no one in EU
  17. Looks damn Good brother! The date jumper has a little jewel. I'd hate for you to take the whole thing apart just to look for it, but there is a little jewel that engages the disc and "snaps" it to the next date.
  18. If you do, make sure it is the correct dial for the case. I know sometimes prices of "gen" and gen dials may lead us on an entire different path.
  19. Easiest way is to get a Sean dial or alike With correct Feet position.
  20. I suggest changing the date jumper then. I did it for my y3135 with gen date disc and it solved the issue. At least for me. Link to date jumper E
