  1. loving that picture with your old sneakers Freddy!! Super shot gmt for me, freshly brushed pcl's!
  2. He's the worst, shame on him http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=382518
  3. It looks ok to me, luminova service dials are always cheaper then their tritium counterparts. I am getting a set new in the blister packs, I'm sure the text on it will match the one you showed from tswisst. I prefer to use the lumi parts for my build for some reason (maybe because they are in perfect condition and glow) Your advice is excellent
  4. Lol, well it's not perfect but it caught my eye.
  5. I think they did a good job with the Ivory dial version. Too bad it's 22k! http://www.ablogtowatch.com/project-x-custom-rolex-daytona-paul-newman-tribute-colorful-variants/
  6. Thanks I use a Sony rx1r which has a full frame sensor (light and small for taking wristies but packs the punch of a full frame season.. Perfect!) I use macro mode and an f stop of 4-8 mostly. It's really all about the sensor size, I was always under the impression that the number of megapixels mattered, I guess that was the clever marketing. They really don't matter, it's all about light and bigger sensor = more light

  8. "best looking insert I have ever seen, outside of @dbane883 's ghost. Just stunning" Thanks, I'm quite fond of it too!
  9. It's mostly based on the dial variations that he has full scans of, once the dial is chosen the shade of lume is discussed.. So yes if I wanted to I could have the 6pm marker done a few shades lighter then the rest. I found that some gens do have this feature and some don't, I have no idea why this was done on some and not others and so for that reason I've never bothered to do have it done. It was very prevalent on 5510 dials, I suppose if I were to make one of those I'd be inclined to do that.
  10. yes, that's the original pearl, I agree it's really cool! It's basically a "long 5" that was printed with a worn pad, it gave it that distinctive cartoon look
  11. From vrm last year, the seller wanted 1700$ and even though that was crazy I did it. No regrets!
  12. I LOVE this story. Nanuq is right, this is much more than a watch forum. My prayers are with your friend E
  13. That's what I paid for one with a band a while back, not at my computer now but here's a lower res pic of what mine wears like, I prefer them on oyster bands.
  14. Doesn't a gmt cover all time zones? That's why the bezel turns
