  1. The heck with the GMT Marti did you see the BB 58 I posted?
  2. I wore the rep for a week found the same as you. But really think about it Tudor doesn't seem priced so crazy when you look at our costs. We are specking out/price coast ratio to buy a 30 to 100k vintage big crown or build and it may have a few of the parts listed in it anyway. I think we best go gen on that build spec sheet now that they stumbled into this .
  3. OK the wonder boys over at Tudor must have had a brain fart , they finally figured out we do not want a vintage watch on steroids. Now we all would sure like one from back then but prices are ridicules so with a little help from the dealers we upgrade dials , reshape cases do lume etc etc well you know. But AH! they put out this one at 39 X 11.9 right in sweet spot, gilt dial check matte finish check , rivet to top it off, a lot to like here gents. Oh did I mention in house movement........about $3500 on the bracelet. We need more pics. No idea why these doubled up, most likely my bad. 4. Funny you mention Hamilton, I have looked at that one along w/ a few other in that line and almost pulled the trigger for years. Now keep in mind Rolex has been called the best $500 dive watch you can buy let's adjust it to $1000 or 2 these days but you get my drift. Granted toot is a poor mans Rolex per say but I just can not justify an Explorer price tag and the Ranger by toot same movement for a good amount more. So you get a bit more cache with toot rather than Hamilton and I'm sure if I give it 6 months to a year I'll get one on Joma even cheaper.
  5. Yes a little dressy but that depends on your choice of model, I think the plain black or white dial give it more flexibility.
  6. Well guys just saw this at Basil and loving it. https://www.tudorwatch.com/watches/new-1926/m91550-0002 Now a 39 W/ 100mm water proof and understated , my kinda watch . Now look at the price @ 1800 hundred not going to break the bank. case sizes 28,36,39 and 41 that covers most that want a conservative watch like this. https://gearpatrol.com/2018/03/23/tudor-1926-baselworld-2016/#2 Gotta love it. The 39 for me but you have options! By the way love this opener from worn and wound. March 26, 2018 Words By Allen Farmelo Share this story: We live in a time when rugged-looking tool watches regularly get paired with formal wear, but then again so do wrinkled work boots, gnarly beards, and worn denim—all of which were once blasphemy at the office or cocktail bar. The Tudor 1926 harkens back to that era when, even if you’d just swum the English Channel or scaled The Matterhorn, you shaved and tuxed up for the evening’s affairs. Meanwhile, your wristwatch—of which you owned just one—needed to withstand rugged adventure while looking downright debonair. I call such timepieces dressy tool watches, or DTWs. Although I have many watches like many always looking for the one as I come from humble origins you had "A" watch it told time that was it's purpose. I remember my dad he had a watch "Dad's watch" that was it wore it forever. Could this be it seems to check all the boxes, guess only one way to find out.......... 7. Imagine the problems we have as mods w/ all the different cultures here guys, I do not know if a guy is cursing me out or wishing me good luck!
  8. It' cheaper for one thing because it has that movement, now a 21J/2813 can be a workhorse if you get a good one but they are cheap as chips.
  9. That's insane, I would never....................this is more my speed.

  13. Hmm who is this "Darklord" though not in need of a dial at the moment I feel the need to establish contact for future reference, at which board does he operate out of?
  14. Yes Doc all sales here require VIP.
  15. AH! Russia I knew it, get Mueller on it! But seriously could look at those blued hands all day.......................wear in good health AJ.
  16. That is why he is called "legend" ! PS Yes interesting bracelet, source?
  17. Well Blueradish does not seem to sporting a massive wrist size , all a matter of taste. I have huge wrist over 8 inches and wear them small..............my work watch is a 38mm, TI/lite and pretty thin.
  18. Find a watch smith................
  19. Simple yet simply stunning, if you decide to part w/ it one day PM me.
