  7. OK the modder of this beauty is OMEGA He did a great job on the 16610 i bought from him so i asked him if he wanted to mod my 1680. The result is known. Carpe Diem Cats
  8. No it aint Tribal or MM IMO opinion he's in the same league as these two guys. Here is my 1665 DRSD done by the MM. still with the old insert in it. And her with the new insert OK keep one going i still didn't hear his name Carpe Diem Cats
  9. Thanks Kelster, The mods that are done are: crownguards lugholes shaving of the lugs/ toal case to make it more look like the gen rehaut polished polsihing the sides of the bracelet lume job of the hands and dial gen crown gen tube gen springbars gen insert I still have to change the dial and the movement ( which is a cheap copy of the ETA ). But for he moment i like the lume job a lot. Any idears on who did the modding jobs on this beauty Carpe Diem Cats
  10. I'll try to make a decent lateral picture tomorrow morning. i always use sunlight or day light to shoot pictures Carpe Diem Cats
  11. @ Rosnik , a fully agree with your comment on the crown guards ( and it's also valid for all the other mods ) Again IMO he's one of the greatest modders on this forum ( the SL lume was a request from my side and i had to force him to do it because it doesn't belong on a vintage Rolex ) Who's the first to guess who did all these great modd's to my 1680 ?? Carpe Diem Cats
  12. No doubt about it that this one will be on my wrist the rest of the weekend. Carpe Diem Cats
  13. Thank you guys for the response. @ alligoat i'm still happy that i decided to go for gen parts for the insert tube and crown. @ Rosnik It's a so called new MBW case with a lot of problems but they arer solved by the modder @ Freddy your comments are always spot on so i don't feel hurt. Yes i already posted a WTB in the WTB section for a better 1680 RED dial. Still funny that a stock MBW dial is an improvement for this "new" MBW Carpe Diem Cats
  14. This watch has a lot history on this forum It came with a lot of troubles and flaws but IMHO they are solved superbly by the guy who modded the watch. The lume on this one was a special request of mine because i was inspired by the luminova serviced dials by Rolex I didn't had the time to make many shots but here is the start. The famous 1680 engraving And a lume shot ( again the modder told me it was way off , and i agree , but the dial was so poor that i thought let's give it a completally wrong dial ) I will shoot some more pictures in the weekend So shoot Carpe Diem Cats
  15. Great watch yet antoher one on the wishlist Carpe Diem Cats
  16. Congrats Vmena. I just noticed that i also passed the 1000. Time flies when you are having fun. Carpe Diem Cats
  17. My modded , with funny lumed dial ( it was my request ) , 1680 came today. I made some quick wrist shots so sorry for the crappy pictures Carpe Diem Cats
  18. The postman didn't bring to 1680 yet so i'm wearing this one. Carpe Diem Cats
  19. And after the pearel the crownguards will an isseu and after that ..... That's called the rep virus combined with modding fever. Carpe Diem Cats
  20. That's clear. At least Chris took the time to dig in to it to find an answer. Buttom line per model there are serveral MBW/MBK cases you can choose from ( if available ). If i would like to have antoher 1680 i would prefer the "old" style. Carpe Diem Cats

    Rolex GMT 1675

Vantica, let's wait for the experts to chime in. It could be my noobness on vintage GMT's but when i look at the hand stack the GMT hand is on the bottum of the stack. I don't know if this is the right place on a vintage. Nice looking watch btw. Carpe Diem Cats
  22. Yes the bezel should turn freely when you push it down. The flat metal ring you got from PMWF isn't a bezel washer. As Freddy wrote in one of his post it should be placed between the insert and the bezel. I didn't use the flat metal ring because my insert kept popping out. Carpe Diem, Cats
  23. ouch. In Holland i never expereinced such a thing. Let's just hope it's coinsidence. Carpe Diem Cats
