The problem is,when you're on a forum like this and see how good the proper reps are, you'll wear the cheapie a couple of times and then ditch it for a better model. If it were me I'd have put a bit more money into my first rep looking a little more convincing? All gold just looks a bit too much er bling?

The Blue Sky has such a stunning deep metallic blue sheen that the rep makers would never bother to make accurately. Which is such a shame because I would buy one in a heartbeat, even with a sunken dw.

Although I'm not a PAM man at heart, I'd choose a PAM rep. Simply because they are simple. I've owned the others in the list and have had reliability and quality problems with all of them. Only giving my opinion and experience as I know what first time buyers are like when their first rep breaks on them. If I helped to supply it, I am the one who ends up fixing it for them. All I can say is don't expect perfection and gen performance. Just think of it as a bit of fun!

Yes but no plane would hit the water without breaking up, surely? So there has to be debris in the area, if that's what happened. The flight recorder locator beacon automatically activates on immersion in water and lasts about 30 days. As for the theory that if the plane landed and no claims or demands have been made so far, it takes time to hide 200plus "hostages" which could explain the delay. Either way this is a very bizarre incident and I feel for the families of those on board.

The only way the makers can fix the date is to rework the dial for an A7753. I really doubt they would raise the dw on a normal 7750 tricompax. but then I could be proven wrong. Modding a dw could be cheaper than using 7753....
