I only have the gen Black Bay. It's build quality is sublime. As you'd expect.
The level of finishing is so nice. I have a number of more expensive gens that don't feel as nice as the Tudor.
Interesting idea, but personally I'd be worried about my watch being damaged. So if I wanted out of the club, what would I get back?
Also there is the issue of trust. Sending thousands to a complete stranger and hoping he is legit.
Finally, insurance. Is there any such insurance policy that would cover watches for hire?
Over hyped watch of the century! I can see from the dealer pics that there are already inconsistencies compared with the gen. Unfortunately in this hobby there is far too much expectation and people forget that there is no such thing as a perfect rep. Some TDs are very clever with marketing themselves and their products and it's easy to get carried along with the crowd.
The ML dial, arabics and hands remind me a little of TAG Heuers latest Monza. A classic but totally contemporary look.
If only the Monza was bigger.
But yeah the more I look at the ML, the more I want one! 42mm is just about right for a white dial watch I think...
I like some of Steinhart's designs but the last one I had, a Nav B Chrono, lacked that finishing touch. I felt that some high end reps were finished better. I guess this is why they are fairly cheap for a gen brand.....
Thanks to HackR I will bump this thread for info especially with The new Navitimer rep being released!
Apologies for the missing pics, i will check it out
Yeah great pics and generally a very very nice Breitling to add to the collection. It is a shame about the dw font though.
I'm considering buying one of these to do the raised dw mod. Although when I last did it, it was on a high beat movt...
Man that is a seriously nice looking watch. I would hope that for 500 bucks, it has gen Quality. I'd be seriously [censored] if the goddamn crown stripped, keyless went off or the bezel wasn't Sapphire etc.
The gen is a limited edition. And yes, the white and blue reps with contrasting subs do appear to be fantasy as I haven't seen them in gen form anywhere.
Rather bizarre thinking why make fantasy versions of such a crucial and difficult to replicate watch!
I reckon the Superocean 44 is an extremely accurate rep. Only a real Breitling owner and expert could call you out on that one.
My Planet Ocean liquidmetal rep is for me,one of the best reps of 2013. It is very very close to the genuine PO which I have.
