  1. Your posts are about as exciting to read as a rerun on the PBS channel. Why don't you stick to rep discussions on the forums. Even with all your alleged "expertise" you'll gain no additional support for your cause.
  2. In the spirit of being an honest individual... I "honestly" thought the first post the OP made was a joke. But after reading several of his condescending responses it's clear to me, as others have stated, he has some serious trust issues. To OP: spend more time using the search function of this forum and spend less time posting. It's painfully clear you've done no research of your own. Come to your own conclusions about our hobby. There have been thousands of newbs before you that have asked the same questions. This community is built on trust. If you can't see that then this hobby isn't for you.
  3. That was was grossly missrepresented having all those problems and no disclaimer in the sales ad. I hope MOAB can help you resolve this issue. Their "compensation" is just an insult, IMO.
  4. Thanks for taking the time. Seems like a viable alternative to the BP model. I'm still partial to the BP though.
  5. Buy one and don't look back. Another viable option is a TC sub. You won't be disappointed.
  6. See I definitely don't agree with that. Why for thru the trouble of experimenting with unknown dealers? Any of the TDs across all the well know rep forums can source anything you want. Not only can they source the same watch the level of customer service and prices are much better then some random rep dealer you'll find online. There are countless stories of members who've been screwed by these questionable sites prior to joining this community. Our dealers offer the best quality reps out there. I'd be curious to see what you paid for and received from one of these unknown dealers. I mean no offense by my post. But I don't want someone new to the hobby to be mislead into thinking buying from random sites is always safe. It's most certainly a gamble and no protection.
  7. Newest addition to the collection...
  8. I literally laughed out loud when I read this. "I felt the earth move"… Haha To OP: 1665 hands down! This isn't even a close comparison IMO. "Nice" 16610 are a dime a dozen and can be had at a moments notice, theres always some for sale on the boards. Your 1665 on the other hand cannot be had which ease if you later change your mind. Its a great piece and as many have already said finding parts for these vintage builds are only getting harder to find and more expensive to buy. I also think the 1665 has much better wrist presence while still maintaining that classic Rolex look. Oh and don't forget about that plexi! EDIT: and... I just realized this is an older thread… Ha. Well that was my .02 cents anyways!
  9. This is normal right? Can't make up my mind... Haha
  10. No problem! And the seller of that crystal is top-notch. Great member.
  11. Genuine rolex crystal 25-295-C12-C1 AR
  12. That's the very reason I choose my buyers. It may take me a while longer and I may miss a few good offers but the risk of selling to just anyone isn't worth it. Especially when selling some of the high dollar Frankens I've sold. I feel sorry for that seller...
  13. Noob v3 insert is the best option to date. It's just finding a noob v3 watch in stock that's the challenge.
  14. Honestly there is no "real" substitute for the gen insert. Live1 can explain in great detail why. But in short gen is gen. Aftermarket just falls short IMO.
  15. Not my style but very well executed. I'm sure your friend will be happy.
  16. Welcome to the forum. Before you jump into this hobby take some time and search the forums and the many threads the community has created. There is a lot of content to help give you a better understanding of the rep hobby. This should also help you decide what would be a rep you'd like to own. Buying is the best logical step. We have a list of trusted dealers who are listed in the sales forum. Another avenue is buying from another member. Those sales are also located in the sales forum. Best of luck.
  17. Congratulations. I'm sure it was tough to see it go. At least you had some time to wear it! Wife does come first though! lol
  18. The BP is also "gen" spec and can't fit the modified movement. So its anyone's guess...
  19. Clearly flawed reps… I'll take them off your hands… Haha GREAT WORK!
