  1. obscene amounts of money IMHO Hopefully not in a Senior Citizen Mike!
  2. Coincidentally, I was browsing Puretime's site just now and wanted to check Cartier, but somehow managed to hit Casio. OMG, Casio reps at over $500. What is happening to the world!
  3. One of my franken Seamaster chronographs today. Gen movement, relumed gen dial and hands, gen bezel.
  4. I have my doubts as to whether or not it's a gen ETA. Most are old dirty movements and not new ETA. Most people go for an Asian ETA as at least it's likely to be new. Price wise, I've no idea, but check across several TD's to make sure it's ok.
  5. If he's a popular TD here I see no issue with it. I'd not put my details into some random site though, but with a TD you should be fine.
  6. My very first counterfeit watch was purchased in Turkey in 1990. I wouldn't call it a rep as it was a generic POS Quartz crap with Cartier poorly applied to the dial. I'd been drinking and it seemed a good idea at the time. When I returned home I couldn't face wearing it so I gave it to my father who, as parents do, cherished it as a gift from his son. On my travels I never found any good reps that I'd actually wear so I became disillusioned with reps until I discovered RWG.
  7. I tend to discuss with the buyer the value they want declared. Generally "broken watch parts", value around $20.
  8. I've had (a little) success in the past going to a friendly optician who lets me rummage through his 'odd screw box'. In fact I need to go again as I've a few screws missing from various watches.
  9. PM SSteel on here, he should be able to help.
  10. Quite like it myself for €50. Looks nice Yes, of course you can love any watch, including Casio. I've a Seiko Quartz chrono from when I was 21 years old. I still love it even though it's more or less retired these days. I actually wore it as my wedding watch as it had sentimental value.
  11. I live in the UK, sometimes in London sometimes not. Currently in Brazil and have worked in Spain. Small world!
  12. Welcome. Whereabouts in South America are you? It's rather a large place!
  13. Steady on old chap! Put your big girl panties back on. Yes, I've bought from Puretime, maybe 2 or 3 reps and always had a good service. As for returning a dead on arrival rep, it's standard practice I'm afraid. Did you photoshop the picture lol As Steel has suggested it's an easy fix for a Watchsmith. I was suggesting that Puretime are not a scam. You said you've been ripped off - but the $100 is for shipping by your account. You just need to take stock of what has happened and what you are saying and accusing people of. Maybe if you ask, people can suggest someone to repair yours in CONUS - I can't as I'm EU and I use SSteel. Finally, if I came across as harsh I apologise.
  14. It's possible Micky, but it seems strange to post such stuff.
  15. Yep, too easy for you guys! An Omega Seamaster GMT Great White. Birthday suits are great when worn by ladies Anyone else want to join in with a lume shot?
  16. You've been here 6 years and only have 12 posts. Then come here to slate Puretime who is a trusted dealer across many of the rep fora. Maybe you should ask for help first, you'd get a much better response from people. There are even people on the board who could assist you. This is how the rep world works.
  17. I managed to miss today's wristies as I've been busy - no internet where I am other than wifi so I have to wait until later in the day to post usually. Anyway, for a spot of fun (also as it's a bit quiet here), I thought I'd post a lume shot and see how good you guys are! What am I wearing?
  18. ...... along with a giant phallus. Especially popular amongst some members next door.
  19. In answer to your question; arguably the Russians have the best sub in the Typhoon.
  20. Nope I have a pre 2008 franken with gen dial and ETA 7750, gen post 2008, gen titanium, post 2008 rep and 2 which are being worked on by Micky - one will be a white franken and the last will be a mishmash of a bit of fun may change the insert and may relume the hands to something wacky. I'll post them up in a few weeks once they're back with me.
