Absolutely brilliant. The aluminum bar + 320 grit sand paper + scotch tape was what I needed to know. I will undertake this project shortly to repair my v7 bezel that has some slight color variations due to my cuff rubbing the bezel. That picture is very valuable. Thank you.

For reference, a few of us here have ordered custom croc straps for this model from: http://stores.ebay.com/vnhandcraftart?_rdc=1 $39/each and he'll do any color you like. I have a blue croc on a rose gold model myself. The vendor is highly recommended and member DVN introduced me. Subsequently, I have also ordered 3 Panerai straps in addition to the IWC.

Absolutely no problems with mine. My piece is keeping within 5-6 seconds a day. I recommend it to anyone and the rose gold is so sublime. In fact, I received a compliment from another woman in the elevator Wednesday. She said, and I quote, 'the geezer my favorite'. I thanked her and smiled.
