  1. Revisited - this originally simple PAM has seen a lot of action meanwhile, run´s strong and reliable as ever and with it´s gilt hands is really a joy to wear. Another lume-shot, b&w pic and today´s vintage photo shoot with saturated colours added:)
  2. Very, very nice, wonderful casebacks and crowns included. Love the one with sleek dials with that fantastic leather strap even more. Congrats and thanks for sharing. Great pics as well.
  3. Wow - I love it. Got everything I love on a PAM - good lume, sandwich dial, 1950´s casing plus a PR indicator - see-through caseback and GMT function (and the dot for day/ night is a really great gag). This is quite something, wear it well.
  4. Hi the one I´ve posted above is the brown one - 22mm for the BB before was using it on a Brady Sailcloth with gold stitching (Bradystraps come with in-built lugbarmechanism and You can take them off/put on without using any kind of tool which is also handy)
  5. The best way really is to change the strap. Treatment for the smelly straps: exposure to sunshine (often) in the open air or/and pack them into simple household baking soda wrapped in cellophane paper for some days, the soda absorbs the smells (but just 24 hours is not enough). The cheaper ones even have cardboard paper inside, if that absorbed the smell it will never go away. Aftermarket straps don´t have to be expensive gens. And its very easy to do and fun with a lug removal tool, easiest is to buy a watch repair tool box from Amazon for 12/15 or 20 usd once, these are cheap built but include handy necessary equipment. Try Panatime, Strapped for time and these here http://www.watch-band-center.com/shop-watchstrap.html. Something like black calf leather alligator grain ($30) already works fine. Standard sizes are 20mm and 22mm.
  6. Andrew is a fast shipper so ordering Thursday qc pics would normally be in latest on Saturday. As said above the watch may be out of stock. Write a mail asking. To UK or US it´s much faster but to the rest of the EU shipping takes +- 2 days once qc is approved (may be up to 10 days more even). Fastest shipping is from creation watches Seikos and Citizens between 3-4 days with free DHL or faster (even on a $70 watch, just to say).
  7. Glad You like it, welcome around rwg.
  8. Happy Independence Day for all fellow American members
  9. Strange, really don´t know, but this one could have a very tight sitting plastic retaining ring around the movement that will be extremely difficult to get back together again because of the chronopushers as well. Good luck.
  10. Olá and welcome to the forum. One tip would be to go for a Breitling or Omega non-chrono first before seeking a "more complicated" Grand Carrera - as You soon will find out. Safe shipping is from $45 to $70 for 1 or 2 max. and takes 3-4 weeks. Now have some fun around first.
  11. Hi and welcome to the forum, seems exactly the right place 4You2.
  12. Hi and welcome around. Just for fun, why not start researching Sinn and pictures around here so You may compare what is available and what not. Have fun. And just wanted to add for info: shipping to Your place is between $45 and $70 for 1 or 2 depending whom You buy from.
  13. Beautiful Genta designs, love those as well, here are mine
  14. Hi and welcome. Good You joined the forum. Many answers to this question, so I summarized them up 4You: TC has the best, BK has the best, MBW was the best; buy what You like, BP is better, Noob is better, V3 is the best now the research starts....... Easier to find right away: Tudor Blackbay/ Breitling Superocean Abyss 42mm white or black
  15. Hi Gentle thx for the tip&print. Maybe someday will come back to it but for now I will simply use a dedicated CC I have anyway or PP. Since WU is asking 2much questions in some EU-countries already, standard will be the others follow.
  16. 10 Rules? 10% read them 90% use the "learning by doing method" - same goes for technical equipment manuals in the office or at home; the information overflow in the beginning is always overwhelming; better to make it 2 rules? - I totally agree with the postings, just being practical, restricting access to m2m sales via min. number of posts is fine; WU: glad it worked for You with a special option but count on paying +-35 usd more if doing it normally from the EU; WU1: Did it through the bank online - 4 days and 35 usd cost; WU2: did it through the post office with full disclosure of personal data and questionnaire - took just 1 hour, cost 20 euro plus 5,5 euro worse exchange rate (+-34,5 usd); WU3: didn´t do it, chose another TD and did it via Paypal letting my bank do the exchange rate -40 USD less than using WU; Best sub: answers will always be: TC has the best, BK has the best, MBW was the best; buy what You like, BP is better, Noob is better than the research starts....... Still looking for the best cartel 5512/5513 with 3,6,9 dial...............
  17. Can´t stop looking but have to hurry away - otherwise I´m going to buy 3 Seikos - fantastic pics, Doc - and 1 Hamilton on the spot......right now..........lol
  18. Great story and great journey. Could the quest be (almost) over? Hard to believe from Your journey till now, those 2 HQ - Seiko beauties are still to new:) - but have that no-worries feel in-built. Feel lucky to be quite happy and satisfied with most of mine and still on the quantity and variety carriage, missing vintage 5512 and 5513 Rolexes for now....let´s see where this goes.
