  1. Hi, use the shipping via UK option and it will be fine (total cost $70 for 1 or 2); go with the undecorated Asian ETA movement; The Seadweller is good: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_8&products_id=10933
  2. Sounds very complicated and unusual, most TD´s will accept WU only on first purchase so CC is already a big benefit only very few TD´s beyond the already mentioned offer. From all thousands of members and 10 thousands of purchases only 1 TD (and its none of these 3, had recently some problems with CC, it´s being sorted out) 1. some Bancs offer separate solutions for "safe" purchases via Debit Card linked to Your Credit Card/ or banc account with limits You set (amount+nr. of purchases allowed within previously set time frame, at least 1) 2. Get a separate account with limited funds and a debit card for internet purchases (did this Years ago before PP existed) Paid via "safe" Debit Card to Intime and Toro (and others), no problem at all. If one of the TD´s ends up accepting PP and You do have some problem please contact the forum moderators first before filing for a refund.
  3. PAM??? - replace the ??? by 3 digits:)
  4. Hi, congrats on the Blackbay and the lumeshot - beautiful. Once I took off the SS bracelet I never put it on again, it feels/looks good on different straps. Both options $30 to $40 shipped: a fabric strap that contains the springbars: Bradystraps sailcloath with gold stitching 22mm (just google Bradystraps): it comes with in-built lugbars and You can remove it/put it on without tools (but will need a Sping Bar tool to take off the bracelet for the first time a normal 22mm Bomberjacket strap (they ship with 2 reinforced springbars) is here in 3 colours pictured is the brown: http://www.strappedfortime.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=248
  5. Ok, this looks like ending with the TAG
  6. Ok,a t least I want the crown.... Caught this Rolex fishing trawler the other day....
  7. Really depends what You´re looking for and which price-range: "Industrial ones" panatime http://www.panatime.com/ strappedfortime http://www.strappedfortime.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=248 http://www.watch-band-center.com/watchstrap-p19752h346s352-Watch-strap-Mokka-22.html than there are handmade and specialty leathers forum strapmakers like the one and only Gunny/ Donerix/ Jacobsstraps/Dan Migliore and others http://www.wotancraft.com/shop/category/strap/collections/decima-flottiglia-mas-originale http://dangerous9straps.blogspot.pt/2011/06/price-list-for-dangerous9straps-as-of.html Have fun looking around
  8. Hi You´ll need a cheap spring bar tool (Amazon/ Ebay) and look up a video on Youtube. For other strap options take a look at Panatime or strapped for time (and a 1000 others). Individual strap makers will offer exclusive leathers and designs but with waiting time and at a cost (but much more value for money than the gen imo)
  9. Whatever happened, both wristshots are just gorgeous!
  10. Question: doesn´t the ultrasonic clean the "inside" of the watch (movement) as well leaving all dirt floating around? Or vibrate some tiny screws off? Have only used an old toothbrush and non-abrasive tooth-paste, treated bracelet in separate with the usual rec´s. PS: I´d like to buy one but just for cleaning bracelets and other stuff don´t know if I should...
  11. Hi, the only do´s and dont´s would be to go with the cheaper Asian ETA instead, opinions are divided. Factories seem to fit Asian moves anyway in 90% of the watches as swiss are becoming rare. "Real" swiss moves often are older ones or recycled/dirty so might need a service. On the bright side I think the "best" parts selection (dials/hands/lume/casesets/aligned pearls etc.) go into the more expensive "swiss" so it´s much easier to get a better overall watch. Personally I avoid winding on any autos be it A7750 or any other to avoid wear and stress on the stem and winding mechanism, as there is no need for it, they start running when I pick them up, but everybody handles this differently. Nice pick, it´s a sturdy watch.
  12. Have not come around yet to wp-test this one, so I haven´t worn it lately. Don´t need to get it wet anyway. Now that it´s out of the box again still love it: great watch!
  13. This is really a misshap - once they are on they are bomb-proof even if one of the lugbars snaps but You always need extra-care when putting it on the wrist - bracelet is safer. Still You have a good one, on others half of the markers and probably one of the hands would have come off. For this kind of situation the PAM CG-solution is brilliant. Ask SSteel if he can fix it. Good luck
  14. Hi, so Jacksonste like Tomhorn posted doesn´t have it?? Thought he did....
  15. Hi Gentle, OP referred he got a BP so I was meaning the Cartel-subs in general (Sea Dweller, 16610 and 116610). The Noob V3 has superior looks but I have seen very few "complete" ones to be sure I´ll really get one for the time being (and not buying it with the overpriced, sensible modified movement either). Overall best value for money imo is Intimes classic 16600 BP Seadweller for $238 at the moment (normally wp to more than 6 ATM as well).
  16. Hi, if You don´t usually purchase in China Your CC company blocks it for safety purposes. As for response time ......to each his own. As You will see some TD´s pass their time on the pc giving You the quickest of responses and sending You tons of pics from often misaligned watches, others just reply : Yes! after 3 days - they are running around all day checking each watch in the factories until they have a nice one for You. Intime is very good. Try Toro, he accepts CC too on his site and for fast response go Trustytime (also with CC).
  17. Hi, 4 in a package is a bit much, at least to EU should be 2 and done. Would not get 2 +- similar Omegas, You will want something else later, the blue sample is better. Nice catch with the UN Good luck
  18. With 180/19 You can just wear a 47mm, no prob. at all. For a 51mm test bought an amazon supercheapo - that U-boat-size kitchenwallclock is unwearable for me - but can read the time from across the room.
  19. Hi and welcome. Supposing all is well aligned in the first place and it´s got the Asian ETA-clone it will feel good to excellent with fantastic lume. The bezel-rotation click on the BP´s is solid, fast, precise and very agreeable to the touch, I use it all the time and meanwhile enjoy it more and its faster than using a stopwatch - and prefer the simplicity of setting countdown-time. When it comes to the crown and time-setting there is no uniform quality standard, some are smooth and perfect, on others the machining is less good or the stem is harder to push/ not as precise when clicking into positions. Never wind mine because it´s not necessary, they start immediately and pick up power reserve fast. The bracelet - after the oilbath - is excellent too, but on mine it´s not quick, I leave them soaking at least overnight, more is better. You´ll enjoy it.
