  1. Hard to make a great build better, but you did. That may be the finest build on any forum. Man I would love to find an insert like that for my Bart Sub. Outstanding work as always my friend [emoji1319][emoji1319][emoji1319][emoji1319] You alway have the best **** [emoji1303]
  2. Not worth it unless you plan to keep it for life or acquired the parts a long time ago when they were reasonable. To hard to sell if you decide you want a change. Lost my *** on every single build. Even when you know the market and acquire parts at fair prices, it is just to hard to recoup. One build I spent 8k on and sold it for 6. Would have made more back if I parted it out, but did not want to tear down a project that took a year to put together. I really appreciate the guys who can take stock reps and modify them to look good but for a reasonable budget. As I improve my watch modding skills this is a really fun part of the hobby and one that makes more economical sense. Pretty much done doing high end builds. They are fun to do but generally illogical. This is why I switched to collecting vintage gens instead. At least I know they will continue to increase in value and if I decide I want something different gens are much easier to move. And at the end of the day, a gen is a gen, especially vintage.
  3. Thank you. I have been on a horween shell cordovan loafer kick of late. This color 8 actually is quite versatile. Found some great Alden Shell penny loafers that match the strap.
  4. Awesome tools. You always find the best stuff [emoji1303]
  5. Gilt on Tan leather on this beautiful morning.
  6. Great idea. This will be a blast. Very much agree with Paneria153, I spend a lot of time on several forums and this is by far the most welcoming and tolerant forum I have seen. Great bunch of guys here and no drama... Have not been that active of late but I am planning out another vintage build.
  7. Crappy low res pics but looks like relief gilt to me.
  8. 1675 had a pretty good scratch on the plexi that I couldn't get out by hand so took the bezel assembly off and worked the plexi with a dremel. Also needed to work on the old folded Jubilee I recently acquired. So cleaned up the bracelet, little brush and light polish to areas and worked the 55 end links. Took several attempts to get it right but now the fit is good. Forgot to shoot pics while she was apart. I love this old Swiss Jubilee. Super thin and light. Wears great and is super comfortable. Please note...no polishing of the case[emoji1303] Now that the 1675 is done. Time to work on the 5513. This is my birth year "Grail" piece. I am not a watch smith so it takes a little ahhhhh....[emoji51] courage to work on this. I have not taken her apart since acquired. Bezel was hard to rotate and also needed a good buff of the plexi. Thank the watch Gods, bezel came off easy. Before: you can see she is pretty dirty under the bezel. After some clean up. Once again no polishing of the case. All back together: My two favorite references together: Fun day with the hobby [emoji1303]
  9. @netniet Sweet resurrection! Red, White, and Blue
  10. Loving this old folded Jubilee. Thanks to all those who serve or have served to protect our freedoms [emoji1303]
