  1. ok thanks.. i just thought i would use one i had but i"ll just order a new one no problem thanks!
  2. i use a soldering iron and touch it to the cyclops for a few seconds and then use a knife and pop it off. easy.
  3. very nice pics!!! You can really see how real you can make an MBW look. I think your gen needs that superdome!! this is probably the best side by side comparison we will ever see! thankyou!
  4. now i know you can remove the cyclops on a saphire crystal just by heating it with a soldering iron and popping it off... what about on an acrylic crystal? Same thing? I know the soldering iron would melt the cyclops, but would it pop off just the same? Reason i am asking is that i have a bunch of Clarks crystals for a 1680 but i need a crystal for my 5514 which of course is a non-date. I figured i would ask before destroying one of them
  5. might me something interesting for the VIP section.. All info and participation would be up to the individual modder of course.. I kinda like how in RWI they have diff little sections for each modder to post his abilities with pics and writeups.
  6. Maybe TTK is imitating me?? lol but seriously.. I typed like this long before i knew who TTK was or before i ever found this forum.... oh well, you know what they say... haha
  7. ok now i feel better.... someone with a regular "3" like mine
  8. good story!!! Good thing you didnt have to wait that hour and a half to get home!! LOL nothing feels better than fixing something youself!
  9. Ya i'd keep that LV far away... the steel fish is believable, but a submariner might not be... depends on your position in the company of course...
  10. its just a box with some $2 electric motors.. there isnt much to them really.. i dont see why one should cost more than $100. If i was better at wood working i would make one myself. Shipping to Canada costs more than the winder itself. $65 for shipping on a $49 item LOL
  11. haha thats a good story. once i get into the movement like you did i never expect it to work again.. sounds like you are close though. The Zigmeisters prob shaking his head right now... LOL
  12. I think we need to expand our VIP section and move a LOT more content into it as well as the new suggestion of a "Vintage" section Right now, the only real advantage of being a "supporter" is to get access to the collector section. There isnt much happening in the VIP areas... VIP section should have all the good reviews, the good The Zigmeister info, collectors section, members collection gallery broken down by brand? And the VIP sales section should get used more? just some ideas so make being VIP more appealing.
  13. Wow you can really see the silver on the datewheels! very nice
  14. very nice!!! I think the black noob is way nicer.. better crown, better rehaut. You black noob is the best out of the box sub you can buy! enjoy! Dont show the green one to your boss or he'll call you on it right away. That conical rehaut is a dead giveaway If he saw the black one he prob wouldnt be able to tell except under close inspection and comparison to his.
  15. I dont think it could ever be to much for him!!! hehe i love diamonds too... i am one extreme to the other... I wear beaten rolex vintage divers and diamond Breitlings and thats about it haha
  16. All you bastards with your FLAT top 3's ... im looking at a round ugly 3 on my DRSD right now ggrrr.. hehe Thanks for rubbing it in LOL Now i have to put on my Comex 5514 im currently working on so i cant see the date haha Lonnie
  17. HAHA thats good If you want a correct vintage rolex then get the MBW. If you want a new 16610 then get a $100 noobmariner. Heres a pic of my MBW franken with gen superdome. You can see how much thicker the case is by looking at the 580 end links that are from a thinner submariner. Also notice the much thicker/taller bezel and the lug holes have been drilled to accept gen size springbars...
  18. lower crown guard looks to be a different shape from the upper.. maybe its a really nice franken
  19. might wanna try posting in the buy sell section if you are looking for a watch. There are lots of watches for sale
  20. yes!!! Pug is correct the new sea-dweller rep that we are all waiting for comes with the ETA 2892 that makes for the correct higher crown position! These same reps will also be available with a used gen rolex 1570cal movement for about $2500. They are available now but the first run has some major flaws. Incorrect dial being the biggest issue. Hopefully the one from ANgus is better. It should be out anytime now ANyone have any updates on this? Lonnie
