I took a couple of shower with this one with no problem. But in general I take all my watch out before. I didn't do anything different then firstly clean very well the base surface with degreaser and a little brush, and then using the described enamel and clear coating leaving them dry 1 day between each passage and diluting them with their same brand thinners. Technically it's a jewel: controlling the turbocharger so that it will not kick you out of the road when starting to push (like happened to the old Honda CX500) is a kind of miracle (even with variable geometry turbochargers like we have now). If the front part wan't so ugly it would have been great too Sorry AJ, but I am still in love of the Tamburini design... Like these classics:

Uh... I used testors enamels on mine months ago and they are fine. I even did showers with the watch on with no problem. Strange effect this! I am pretty sure the modder involved wasn't expecting this problem. It would be just plain stupid to do the job just to make a customer disappointed!

Stay far from Ali until you are familiar with reps. Otherwise you will get crap. Believe me. About the piece you are searching, if it is a submarine ceramic, then go for V5 as NW said upper. And get it with Asian 2836, not with the Rolex kind of clone.

Hello gents, these days there are big discounts on the Noob ROO watches (see -> http://www.torobravo2015.com/index.php?route=product/special or at intime.co : all 42mm at 318 and all 44mm at 368$). Now I heard that, one of the differences is that J12 has a movement with added jewels that avoid the problems of friction, while noob doesn't... Is there any truth in this? Uhm... I would actually prefer to smash a movement than a unique part like that... A new (good) Asian clone now is 95$ on the bay. A unique piece like that sapphire bezel is VERY hard to have (nearly impossible if the factory doesn't have it) and surely will not cost less imho (an Hublot rose gold crown was offered me at 45$ you can imagine...).

I heard that Germany imposed Tsipras to hire German guys in the customs... :-p (just joking mates, I'm plenty of colleagues and friends in Athens and I'm really feeling bad for them )

The most similar is Pam090. The one of your friend doesn't exist in the real Panerai collection so there is NO model number for it.

A suggestion: take really care if you want to service that watch. I had the ETNZ version and it came out that the hands were GLUED to their pinions. If someone tries to take them out to service the movement there is a big risk of broke the pinions...

Finally... After nearly 9 months... Back in shape and working!!! This watch has been the biggest PITA ever, but with patience and work finally it is OK!! In the sun, and in the shadow:

This is just a refresh for those who may have forgot about this problem... Some of the pics have been taken one year ago from SSteel, some I've found on the web and modified later. Recently I purchased a watch from a member of the cousin forum RWG.bz, knowing it had some problem and thinking that I could have fixed it, supposing it to be an Asian Eta clone. Unfortunately, when I got it in my hands it turned out that it was not an Eta clone but something that looks similar but it's one of the most terrible movement I've happen to see. The "infamous" Z2 clone-of-clone, also called "new breed high beat asian", also called PieceOfShit (POS) movement. Real code is "SB1HRZ2": It was in this watch, sometimes misrepresented by the original TD: http://www.tswatchltd.com/15942-om15942-seamaster-pro-300m-black-ceramic-ss-a2836.html Well guys, STAY AWAY from that movement. It is really as bad as it can be. The escapement works fine (it can keep good time), but the rest is a disaster, starting from the terrible finishing of it. Just a quick refresh to see how you can spot it in the following pictures. Note that what I write about ETA is valid also for the real Asian ETA Clones like the Seagull ST21 1) the POS dial is kept in place by screws and not by hooks like in gen/asian ETA: 2) the click is very different and really as bad as it can be: on the POS is on the ratchet wheel, on the ETA is on crown wheel: 3) the autowind bridge is also different: on the POS all the reverse wheels are not kept in place by a lower bridge, while they are on ETA The first 2 points are the most recognizable out of the movement. Look carefully and you may spot some detail that will let you discover the POS signs, like in these examples: Note that you can't just swap an asian ETA there because: hour or minute (don't remember) hand will be loose on the ETA date wheel is totally different and will not fit the ETA Also note that there are NO spare parts for it (and being a POS it doesn't even deserve them...) and also simple parts like the stem are not replaceable with ETA ones.
