  1. You should consider servicing it. It is more or less a must with these watches. It should cost not more than 110€. Other option can be, if it is, as you wrote, an Eta clone, to buy a brand new Gen Eta and do the swap. Sent from my RM-914_eu_italy_215 using Tapatalk
  2. Russian crackers are trying to cover up our ideas... Be worried... :P
  3. Well of course there's no point to put the forum in PP description In the end it's a private-to-private deal and the forum, in this sense, is just a display. If I was you, I would wait until the end of the month, and then place a PP dispute (you've 45 days from the payment to do that). Why waiting until the end of the month? Well, this is vacation season, so it may be that an holiday is ongoing and maybe he don't have any way to contact you (and forgot to do it before). In any case good luck!!
  4. Well, if no other option, a "good not received" is an option that may be safe for both you and him. I'm not getting what you mean with "left forum apart" (meaning i can't put this words in a sentences with a sense in my language).
  5. Hey Urban, that's a gen, isn't it? Which is its production time?
  6. Unfortunately it's an already seen movie We're, in Italy, still waiting justice for this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerolinee_Itavia_Flight_870 And I'd not be surprised at all if it comes out that it has been tore down by Russians, they've quite long time habit in this sense http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Polish_Air_Force_Tu-154_crash I've some contact in Poland and they are all pointing to Russian incredible behavior in that case too
  7. Guys, just a question, can't you just file away that 1mm rubber? Is there something wrong I'm not getting in doing that?
  8. Have you tried Ken? He's not only a TD but also a member of the RWGForum admin staff. http://www.rwgforum.net/user/6-kb/
  9. Ah, well, also this, to go to work when the highway is like this (=every fu__in' day...): or to go around on Sat afternoon (when, as we say here: they opened the cages, and all the "monkeys" go for a drive...) I want THIS!!!!
  10. Dreamcar? Ok so one of these 1) Maserati Gran Turismo Ferrari 458 Spider:

  12. Try to ask MyManMatt, he's YourMan when it comes to DD and DJ
  13. Guy, please read the message just over your reply...
  14. No way I want to insult you. I simply don't know if you have ANY experience on watches movements. That's it. And, about grammar, if you want we may tray move to italian, my native language, as I'm sure you'll be able to show to all of us your grammar ability in a language which isn't your native one...
  15. Try here: http://www.ofrei.com/page584.html http://www.ofrei.com/page666.html but you may need to have the clasp nr of a gen one. Or, if you manage to find the diameter of the needed bar, also here (and less expensive): https://www.cousinsuk.com/catalog/watch-straps-bracelets-fittings/fittings-pressure-bars-rivet-ends
  16. Hope the OOOO will not be a clone too

  18. Ahahah, something to add to this thread : http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/170950-so-i-got-drunk-and-bought-two-watches-do-you-like-them-big/
  19. Miyota are ok, more than ok actually and for sure better than old refurbished ETAs. The problem may have been caused at 1st instance from the rotor replacement with the engraved one done by the fabric. and in 2nd instance by your not experienced intervention. I destroyed my very first "el cheapo" rep doing the same: just pushed too much to "fit" the rotor plate and lost 2 jewels, with the result to kill it... In my view it's better just to bring that one to a rep friendly watchsmith: Miyota (which is a Citizen brand, Japan) are diffused and spare parts are not difficult to get.
  20. Taken from FatPanda (he's a dealer on the other RWG) here: http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=82346&st=120 (post #132) Often, it is NOT known if you can get a watch or not. If you have inventory of watches you are selling, that is one thing, but if your dealing with 15 factories, and 20 suppliers of factory watches, that is quite another. A real world example of the supply chain. This is just one example. There are others. Customer to TD - Can you get xx watch? TD - Not in stock, let us find out TD to Factory A, B, C, D, Supplier A, B, C, D, E. Can you get xx watch? Factory A,B,C,D supplier A, B, D, E. No, we cannot get that watch. Supplier C to TD - I can get xx watch price is xx TD to customer - Supplier C can get this watch, price is xx Customer to TD - sends money to TD TD to Supplier C - Here is the money, please send photos of watch Supplier C - receives money, goes to his supplier B and pays for the watch Supplier C - makes photos of xx watch, sends to TD TD sees the photos and notices its the wrong watch, or old version of the watch TD to supplier C, it's the wrong watch Supplier C to TD, its the watch you said you wanted, nothing wrong with the watch TD to supplier C, the customer does not watch that watch. Can you get the customers watch? Supplier C to TD - I don't know, but I already purchase xx watch, my supplier won't accept it back, now I am stuck with this watch. Do you want it or not? TD to Supplier C, no we don't want it because the customer wants different watch. What can we do? Supplier C to TD, I am already out the money, so ask your customer to choose a different watch I can sell you. TD to customer, we cannot get the watch, sorry, do you want to choose another watch? Customer to TD - What? You already said you can get the watch? Are you insane? FP
  21. Yes it is, just need to fit a new pin in the link.
  22. In IT they vary from 70 to 120€ (of course I'm speaking purely of disassemble / clean / oil / reassemble / regulation / waterproof of the watch). This is valid for ETA and Asian clones as they're pretty much the same to work on. If there are also reparations to do then you'll never know before the caliber is getting opened and the problem identified... Don't think in UK the prices will be much different
