I've never understood supercars. I've had track days and driven many but anybody who turns them up to 11 on urban roads usually winds up arrested or on fire from my experience. Unless you live in the middle of the desert with vast stretches of un-policed open roads it makes no sense to me. Give me a Porsche 911 or a used Ferrari 456 any day... perfect daily drivers that are fun and realistic. That said I drive a Honda haha

If you're a gent who still fancies a metal bracelet, and a watch that won't draw any ire or inquisition may I suggest this: JLC http://www.puretime.watch/product/master-ultra-thin-moon-ss-silver-dial-on-ss-bracelet-a925/ or http://www.puretime.watch/product/master-ultra-thin-moon-rg-silver-dial-on-rg-bracelet-a925/ IWC http://www.puretime.watch/product/big-pilot-real-pr-iw500901-zf-11-best-edition-on-black-leather-strap-a51111/ Patek http://www.puretime.watch/product/nautilus-jumbo-5711-11-best-edition-blue-textured-dial-on-ss-bracelet-a324/ http://www.puretime.watch/product/calatrava-automatic-ss-sf-best-edition-white-dial-on-brown-leather-strap-a240micro-rotor/ Genuine Tissot - The powermatic 80 is an amazing movement http://www.jomashop.com/tissot-watch-t0864071106100.html Hamilton: http://www.jomashop.com/hamilton-jazzmaster-mens-watch-h32565135.html http://www.jomashop.com/hamilton-jazz-mens-watch-h32606555.html Hope this helps

This is what I wore on my wedding day, albeit with a black strap to match the tux... I always and immediately favor dress watches over sport for such an occasion. If a genuine Zenith is out of question there are some fantastic rep's out there of IWC, Patek, JLC, etc that will do quite nicely. Also, you could spend similar money to a rep and get a genuine dress Tissot or Hamilton that won't stick out like a sore thumb. Just my two cents & congratulations

What do you think about these daytona dials?

Well for sure, but who knows date codes? The AD's don't have a clue, and with services and records at Rolex being nothing short of spotty I wouldn't think anyone would call foul... they might not buy the watch, but I'm not selling it My point was more to the fact that I own, as most of us do, a bunch of gens and I don't look like a complete tosser. Anyone who wants to "inspect" your watch is doing so because you don't smell right...imho

Thank you!

We could just have someone handy on the forums open one from a TD that claims it's in there, and then we'll know, and we can point people to the TD's that aren't full of shit on it.

Awesome improvement! Too bad it doesn't satisfy the thickness issue. I really wish someone would spend the $$$ and clone the 4030. Seriously, how many of us would pay $550 or so to get a proper modern Daytona rep at correct case thickness with working chrono's and reliability? They'd make up their $ in volume EASILY. Instead we're left to pay nearly $400 for kablooey watch, or $200 for one with a stuck face. Le sigh.

I think it's funny that nobody cares about what this guy has to say and trash him because it's about obscure Breitlings, but if he was talking old Panerai's and Rolex and throwing out knowledge people would respond differently.

I've always found him to be fair and reliable to deal with, as for the watch I agree with Kernow's statement. I did have an early Omega 300 with a Miyota 9015 and there was some second hand stutter if you shook-wound the watch but many people are reporting no issue as well.

^ That's pretty lovely!

Does the second hand stutter when winding like the Omega's?

The only place I'd buy a gen Rolex watch online is Bobswatches.com - jomashop.com or through a brick and mortar seller like Govberg or something on eBay. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe through TRF or VRF, but even then.... I've done a couple deals with Bob's and it's been good. eBay scares the crap out of me, AND the people selling vintage parts on their are out of their frickin minds. Asking $3,000 to $5,000 for bracelets and such, $4,000 for shit bezels/inserts... total insanity.
