  1. We don't use the F word. It's a "Reproduction" lol
  2. I really enjoy high-dome crystals, I like the warping of the numerals that you see, it's such a simple and fun effect.
  3. ^^^^ 10000% - I put one on about 2 months ago at an independent dealer, and fell in love. I'm currently saving to buy the genuine article.
  4. Is there a new "ingod" site? they had some sweet cases/dials but every time i tried to order in the past it wouldn't work.
  5. I'll just leave this here - added gen dial, gen hands, gen MKII insert. beating inside is a top-serviced cal.1520
  6. You could just make a Datejust... hahahaha kidding.
  7. Is that a zipper? lol. It's 50 degrees outside and raining...feels very festive. Someone deleted my Christmas Tree thread
  8. I do have to agree about the Breitlings - some of them are just horrid looking in my personal opinion... However, I think every brand has it's "uggo's" for lack of a better word haha. I love the Breitling Transocean's for example, and I've been searching for their Transocean Chrono in the elusive panda form...genuine of course... The issue I have had with Tag is that which many members have touched on... and an issue I take with any brand trying to sell a base ETA movement in a stainless steel case for $3,000 or a gussied up ETA for $xx,xxx like some Panerai... I don't believe in it, it's not good watch making and it's not good business over all. You short the brand, in my opinion. Then when TH did release an in-house caliber, it turns out it was just a jacked up Seiko, again not a bad movement, but worth the $$$? Not inherently.
  9. Great review, amused by what looks like a high-end loudspeaker behind that aviator... probably a system of lights for letting them know when bombs are dropping/ready/etc like a traffic-light
  10. I would imagine sub-dial spacing and case-engraving are the biggest flaws regardless of manufacturer.
  11. That's a nice watch! I'd been thinking about picking one of these up! http://www.everestbands.com/ might help?
  12. Well I have to say I really dig the insert, not so much on the dial, and 1030's are charming. and that guy bites his nails...a lot.
  13. That's kind of interesting looking! Kind of a cross between an IWC Spitfire and and a jazzed up Oris
  14. I have since this picture was taken fixed the end-links to fit better.
  15. 100% - same thing with me and clothes, oddly proportioned body - almost everything requires tailoring.
  16. I think Swatch Group is really trying to create a positive buzz with their customers. On my advice a friend Joe bought a Tissot Powermatic 80 dress model and the thing went ka-bang after a week. Main spring. Rather than have any annoyances about service or anything - get in your car and drive to the shop, etc, they drop-shipped him another one, with a return-postage paid slip in the box. He was pretty pleased
  17. You could easily copy and print that, getting the over-all case and depth to the dial would be hard, but even then it wouldn't function outside of a quartz hour and minute hand. The Ressence is amazing.
  18. Consumer protection laws aren't strong federally and vary state by state.
