Breitling parts are very very hard to get. Unless you know a breitling repair center who is a good friend and willing to help you off course.
+1
I have some connections but even they can't help me to obtain parts of current models.

I'm scared my IWC Gst or Slevin might lose a pusher, last time I opened the caseback I checked inside: there were screws but apparently It wasn't possible to screw them fully in (screw keeps turning if you use a screwdriver) and it wasn't possible to remove the screw either.
How can i be sure they are safe?
I'm aware it sounds like a stupid question but believe me they weren't working like common screws.
Secure them with a small drop of super glue (or simular). Use a needle to pin point the section of the threads.

Thanks for the sympathie guys!

Just minutes ago disaster struck.....
I was servicing my personal Abyss and just after I cased and uncased the movement for about a 100 times to get the crystal and dial dust free, I was nearly finished when I tried to screw down my crown. Nothing...
The threads on the inside of the crown stripped. From the start the crown would only screw done only 1 turn or so but that never bothered me. But the fact the threads on the inside of the crown are made of pudding do p!ss me off!
Who else has an Abyss and has crown issues? Do all Abyss' suffer from weak crown and / of short threads or is this related to the recent batches?.......
I remember a member posting a similar issue with a crown screwing downs only half a turn.

Looks surprisingly nice on the wrist. Wear it well!

Find another watchmaker

I've spoken to Mike and he says he's sent money to Hugo all the time. They collaborate on a lot of projects.
Didn't know they worked together. I only know Mike and I can vouch for him. He's a stand up guy.
-
I wouldn't be comfortable sending him money ... Try Texski (Mike) in stead.

Please don't double post!!!!!!
I also gave you an answer in the post you made in the 'watch repair' section.

Hacra, is one of the few members who can source gen IWC parts.
Great guy to deal with.
Thought I knew most members here.... Learn something new every day

Hi there. Sorry to hear you had such bad luck. The pushers are hold by either a screw or 'c' clip which can only be reached from the inside. One needs to remove the movement in order to reach it. My gues is either the c clip was not attached properly and is now floating around in the case or either the screw has unscrewd itself and is hanging in there. It should be a easy and small fix by someone who knows what he is doing. Find a local watchmaker who is not brand affiliated.
Good luck.

Who the hell is Harca? You act like we all know him....

Watch arrived. Some interesting aspects to the design. Hands + sec dot are superlumed. Pearl + markers and 06 + 09 are lumed but not as strong as hands. Uni directional bezel clicks and very smooth. Fits 8" wrist. I removed 1 link and moved clasp pin to fit 7 1/2 wrist. Clasp hard to figure out how to open smoothly (tight lock mechanism). Kickstand crown lock is locked in place. You twist rear case counterclockwise to unlock. Took a couple minutes for me to figure that out. It was difficult for me to adjust time. You pull crown out and date changes quickly/smoothly. But to get it to move handset I had to work at it. Still not confident with that but it just arrived yesterday.
You can manually wind it apparently (first pull of crown).
Finishing is very good. I am very pleased with this piece. May compare to b&r 02 and Pam 318L (my other reps) @ some point.
It never happend without pics to prove it

Could be a number of things but my guess is either the beat error is completely off or the movement is gummed up. Probably a combination of both. Heck maybe the main spring even broke and it isn't generating enough power reserve. Have it checked out by a local watchmaker.

Im sure they sell the deployant version rubber without the deployant, but the buckle yeah would be sold with buckle only I imagine. If only for the poor bastard who has cut his too short, sure they wouldnt make him buy a deployant just for the new strap!
Could very well be? Here is a shot of the 2012 catalog prices (Germany). All include either buckle or deployment.

WOW how did I almost mis this post? Great write up!
Never knew how accurate it really was. A new insert or pearl in combination with a Clark Crystal and one is set to go
Wear it wel!

Love it! Great job.

I'd really like know how much a 24mm pro 2 rubber for deplyment is at the AD. Just the rubber without the deployment clasp.
They are only sold together. Or at least the price of the rubber without the buckle is the same as with buckle

The crown is righ there in the picture.
I think that i need to pull up the sleeve in the stem (the one that covers the little spring) and glue it back to the other half of the crown (past the threads of course).
What do you think?
Yes indeed. The crown carries a slot which prevents the stem from turning when you turn the crown. All you need to do is press the spring so that the stem clutch pops out and reglue it in to the slot of the crown.
Good luck.

even someone who can get AD prices would help. pro2 rubber for deployant $80 at Ad, around 200 online websites like ebay,
Those eBay sellers are crazy! Who in his right mind will buy those?....
Just walk into an AD and buy the strap. Simple as that.

I bought this one.
http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_3&products_id=6653
The diameter is 41mm or so. Not 39 like Andrew states...I'm wearing it for almost a year now.
It needs to have 3 mods to be dead on accurate.
- fill in one side of the inner clasp fold markings with black paint
- replace the 'maxi' hands with slim hands
- give the dial a Matte finish
I couldn't care less honoustly so I did neither of them

This is the 2010 Explorer I with ETA clone. Needless to say I gave it a full service and Water Proofing.
This baby goes through a lot! Mountain biking, beach volley, swimming, construction work etc. I just never take it off (sort of a endurance test) and I must say. Till now it is indestructible. The 28xx series movement is designed to be bulletproof.
..and because I love it so much a nice pic for you guys to enjoy!
