None of the ones listed have been repped well. The best of the Lange reps is the Datograph. It is a very nice looking well finished fantasy watch but it is a step above the cheaper reps. No Lange is ever going to be replicated to any superrep standard.

Asian 7750 movement: They have never failed on me
cougar1 replied to By-Tor's topic in General Discussion
Great watch, looks fantastic. I've never had a problem with a7750 either. Sometimes they take a while to 'boot up' the movement but I have a couple going since 2007 unserviced and still perfect, (within 10 secs pd). -
Blast from the Past - Closed Case SMP - Electric Blue
cougar1 replied to triplehd's topic in The Omega Area
It's nothing special, not worth much, and really of no use whatsoever, please sell it to me for a really cheap price, I'll be doing you a favour -
Yep segull ST19 as mentioned. Just to say though, lovely looking watch, sweet dial and case on that!

Order my first Reps, have some shipping questions
cougar1 replied to DeeCee's topic in General Discussion
I'm not in the states, but standard shipping is usually via EMS with full tracking available so you will know when it enters the states and is processed through customs. There should be no issue getting them through customs. Yes you will have to sign for it, or collect and sign at post office. -
Nice Scropper, great haul for one day! I hope you're not doing that everyday

Are we forced to buy from Angus to get Noob watches?
cougar1 replied to Rolexman's topic in General Discussion
I haven't seen an AP diver V3 listed as available in ages? And if I want one I have to join the massive queue behind everybody and go exclusively to a couple of dealers who might get 10 watches at a time Is there something going on with noob in terms of getting production out? It can't be all down to raids and demand? Noob seem to be turning themselves into a brand. At this rate I might get an AP diver by next summer, this exclusivity bullshite is what put me off gens -
Are we forced to buy from Angus to get Noob watches?
cougar1 replied to Rolexman's topic in General Discussion
I agree it's not the best situation Cromag, I'm am also a little peeved though at how the whole rep game is turning into a sales pitch for a particular factory and bloody pre-orders and restricted supply that is obviously not related to raids etc. It's a shame and I don't like being forced in one way or another but it feels as if we are being pushed a certain direction lately!? -

Toro. btw J & A will get you the noob stuff, but with the usual speil about how they are pretty shoddy and qc is awful and there are better alternatives etc. -
Looks great Frankie, I love those watches, enjoy!

Haven't watched that movie in a while, nice pic. I always liked her, sexy biitch, always been bit of a saucy mare. You know she seems to have keep a down to earth attitude despite all the Hollywood bullshite around her....and a nice arrse. Anguz you have to watch Rocky 4 now, 3 and 4 are the best two other than the original.

The IWC portu first and the striking tenth a very close 2nd, everything else no thanks

Hi Sebvad, as KB says, forget the Swiss and Japanese movement slogans, they are mostly all chinese copies of those. It is true that unfortunatley 90% of the time the more expensive version will have bettter attention to detail and finishing externally etc. The best thing to do is find the watch you like and then search in the brand forum for all the details you can. Usually a review or feedback from other buyers will clue you in. Don't get too hung up on the movements for the moment, that will come later but basically it is a21j/quartz at the cheaper end and a2824/eta 2824/a7750 at the more expensive end. The breitling SO are pretty good reps, but afaik it is mainly the non chrono that are done better than the chrono in this case. btw welcome to the forum!

I was always into chronographs years ago, went through several phases, Chrono, big watch, more busy the better, small watch, finally figuring out what fits and works etc. I bought my first rep about 15 years ago, wore that for years, but then became obsessed by the speedy pro. I couldn't afford one so got into reps again via Tony and Josh (watcheden and pclones) around 2006. I went an odd way about things in that I actually found the dealers before I found the forums . The forums were an eye opener, especially this one, I lurked and read avidly! I wore reps for years until 2009 or so when I could finally look at the gen prices and not put my hand over my eyes. I think my taste has evolved in that I've tried the big blingly stuff and I always come back to the more low key well balanced stuff. Chronos have to be not too busy and then they work, classic Rolex like the explorers I and II and subs upto 16610 always work. Ceramic and [censored] like that is too much for the most part. A nice unassuming speedy or a vintage daytona always look great. Othewise it is pretty much non chrono. Never really got the pam stuff no matter how much I tried, some are ok I guess, brushed always beats polished, no gold or precious metals Watches are a strange old game!

Welcome back Anguz, I was gonna say the original but if you insist, then it has to be Rocky 3. Apollo Creed for the win! ......"You thought I was tough? This chump will kill you!"
-
They do seem to go well on a mesh ryaku, if that's any good, worth a shot! .....I'll never get your irrational hatred of leather straps mate
-
The one Gran reviewed is pretty good, cheap aswell.
-
Someone asked the exact same thing elsewhere so I'll just copy/paste: That strap is a Hirsch Genuine Alligator honey brown. The old style aqua terra reps are very hard to find these days, they were excellent quality imo and while the dial sometimes had flaws (colour tone off, happy feet etc) the case was almost 1:1 and they were 100% frankenable. If you want one of the old (rare) ones ask josh, although they may not be available in all colours, last time I checked it was just white dial/blue markers. If looking for the newer blue teak dial ones then the gen is barely out, no reps yet.

Try about mid way down this thread, they should be listed, if not they will be somewhere else in thread: http://www.rwg.cc/to...rom-cousins-uk/ yes bezel comes with pearl and insert etc. Edit: sorry you were looking for ofrei, easiest way is to take part nos listed or try case no 168.1651 and search ofrei + part number on google, easier than navigating ofrei!

No real good versions I'm afraid whoever, the first broad arrow one is I've never seen a rep of that, either way the broad arrow reps were always very hit and miss, more miss unfortunately. The panda speedy was available in quartz, and looked pretty good in fact, with good subdials but not a domed crystal, try watcheden it should be cheap enough. I guess the real issue is speedmasters in general, ...not the best replicated watches unfortunately.

I'd get the sub no date or the explorer II, the tudor is not to be sneezed at though. Weighting them up, the explorer II has a pretty decent rep and the tudor could be a great rep in the future so go for the no date.
-
Nice one IRolex, lucky bstard!
-
dan. Is this the one you were thinking?: It's a cracker alright, would love to see one, not sure there is an auto movement to fit these subdials/dw, so don't know if we will ever see them concentrate on a rep of this. If we can get a non chrono version first we will be doing well.

On order new parts including a tudor rose dial

Great work aero, just found the thread now, great build, looks great on the wrist!
