Great photos Mrandazzo, two perfect classics!

Great strap Donerix....fantastic watch! Lume looks superb.
-
Great discounts Ken!

Yes saw them the other day on a report, was instantly in love, they are beauties Andy, and a great size also....coming back down to normal sized watches I know Angus was having a look at them closely so these could be promising in rep format. Also the ceramic versions are cool. A few more pics! Just the 'vanilla' black and white dials would be perfect reps!

PAM390 on 18 different high end straps (no reps, no rubbers)
cougar1 replied to rogerthat's topic in The Panerai Area
Beautiful straps Roger, 1, 2, 5 and 6 are my favourites, fantastic collection. -
All the dealers are doing a half price discount code offer on the recent AP diver QC lume rejects. Just add to basket and in the coupon field insert 'lumethatlookslikeshitt' to get 50% discount on one of the rejects. Ah really, Toro is about the only one with any Christmas spirit!

That Halios is lovely Asci! Great watch for the money!

The thing about 'non-watch people' looking for watches is they are often attracted to a semi noticeable brand, as opposed to an excellently crafted 'no name brand'. That's why 'Movado' probably struck a cord with her, it is a semi recognisable good brand. I know a few people like that, say the name Stowa or Magrette or Bernhardt or Benarus or any of the other names mentioned and you get a.... Que?! ...even though they are excellent watches. Yet the Movada, Rado, Maurice LaCroise, Raymond Weil or whatever tosh has some clout. Branding and advertising eh?! Have a look also into what can be picked up in that price range with the likes of Longines/Oris if going for the name, especially the Hydroconquest and big crown ranges, they are both dressy and sporty.....and much better than the Movado/Rado stuff. The Hamilton/Tissot ranges are great also. Edit: Just thinking about it this Hamilton Jazzmaster Chrono can be had discounted for under $1K and is great bang for the buck, it's big watch but has a classic allrounder look:

Yeah saw that one lobster, cool video. Was it really a £2Mill haul, Jesus I didn't realise. Impressive! (In that fcuked up kinda way , don't want to make it sound like we encourage this sort of activity) ......but if anyone knows of any for sale heavily discounted....PM me

Very nice brian, looks like they fixed those wonky B's! I wonder is there any dealers selling the rubber straps separately, I don't think toro is. Thinking of picking up that panda version to add to the black. Hope the lot aren't sold out!
-
I always wanted to do this! Admin pleas read! You have a glitch to fix!

New arrivals for Christmas along with some family photos

Lovely collection dc, I really like that Deville hour vision also, the blue dial really stands out! -
I'd say hold on at this stage whitestrips and see how it pans out, if you can get it cheaper you might be able to pick up the bracelet somewhere and have a damn good rep. This could be an excellent rep, but we will only know once released and some feedback is available. I agree on above that the price on it is skewed and there has been no real concrete explaination for the jumps in price from V1 @ $228 to $328. A2892 isn't that expensive and the rep straps for these are awful, so it is essentially a high price for a 3 hand rep watchhead....it better be a good one!

Nice one jtiis, good to hear, those speedy dates were great reps, such a shame they are not available anymore. -
45mm Planet Ocean vs. NOS Vintage Seamaster 300
cougar1 replied to mmallers's topic in The Omega Area
Get the 300! Fantastic watch, I love the PO but if you are already leaning to the 300 then go for it, you won't regret it. These are getting hard to find and with watchco selling off all old stock right now you might not get a nos one again. The PO is a beauty, but if you don't love the watch then you can put together a very good franken later for about $500 ish, give or take a couple of hundred bucks. -
God, that's a fuggin outstanding deal! Cheers for info!
-
Holy fcuk, that's actually damn good, The prank might not have gone so well though if someone gave her a good boot into the head!

Qc pics of Ap diver v3 , latest batch from puretime
cougar1 replied to kingblu3's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
They should take the big A off the front of them and start putting on A- That looks a little better sts, but lume still a little shoddy in places, any closer pics of the dial? -
Yeah silly buggger, I see it a lot lately where the same handle is popping up on gen plus rep forums. Also inevitably with this 1:1 stuff ringing around reps constantly now, a few in the mix will try to do the 'gen forum test'. Even saw where there was a discussion on another rep forum about keeping things separate from gen forums and there was a lot of "I couldn't give a fcuk" type attitute. It's not too difficult to keep things separate, and it is better to keep things low key, not just for your own sake but also for the rep community.

Yep as Danza says, old old strap. What was the dealers name? Ask for another.
-
Yep sloppy, noob seem to be rushing out poorly put together stock. I'm glad I hung on for a while now and didn't jump as soon as they came back into stock. I'll leave it till the crazy demand settles down a bit and the dust settles. I wonder is it just a small percentage showing sloppy lume in qc, and the bulk happy, or have we got a large bad batch with a few good ones?
-
Thanks for the feedback Jeff, it looks great, been eyeing one of these up myself lately.

The ETA is argubably a better movement than the SW200, the SW200 is swiss but is a clone also of the original eta, so a new eta will cost more. Up to recently the scarcity of new batches of 2824 meant the main new top movement vs the a2824 would be the sellita, and they charged for the priviledge. Most people will say the factory versions of the 2824 can be shoddy and not new for the most part. I would imagine they got a 'new' batch for these, and the sellita has become scarce now....else they are playing about again with pricing and the sellita will come back in the next batch dearer again?
