  1. Gents, Bought this Rolie 116610 LB Super clone 3135 from Puretime 3 months ago. I really love it and there is no way that I get rid of it but the thing is that lots of things are not OK at all. 1) As you can see the clasp/bracelet is broken 2) The beater looses nearly 3 mns per hour. 3) The 12.00 o'clock mark is way too close to the Rolex crown. It nearly touches it !!!! 4) And finally the sunburst blue bezel insert is way too different from gen. I think Domi could easily fix 1) and 2) but for 3) and 4) I really would like to get a gen dial and bezel insert from an 116619LB. As you know this is quite hard to find but do you have any idea where to source this 2 items ? If too difficult, where do you think I could find a perfect dial/insert replica that would fit the 3135 case ? Am not a super Rolie expert and I would welcome all your advises and comments to make this beauty a better rep. Thanks in advance. Fran.
  2. Hi I'll introduce myself properly shortly and give a full breakdown of my watch box in due course! Suffice to say that I've been watching from the shadows on here for a while, muddling along with my own projects with the help of a very friendly and capable watchmaker. However, now we've hit a wall and could really use some help! We've been attempting to build a 5500 Explorer Franken from the following parts: - Gen 15000 Case / Back / Bezel - Gen Crown / Tube - Tropic 13 Crystal (slightly loose fit, but closet I could find - needed a bit of glue to keep it in place) - ETA 2824 Movement - Yuki 5500 Explorer dial (with feet removed) - Yuki ETA Hands - Raffles Time No. 2 Movement Ring Now all has gone together just fine so far, with the exception of the last item (the movement ring). The ring fits the case and ETA movement perfectly, but there doesn't seem to be anything for the case clamps to fit onto (i.e. there is no groove in the case). It looks like the original movement (3035) fits in the case with no movement ring, and that the screws on the movement holds into the case thread. Not sure what to do next - ideally looking for a DIY solution that doesn't involve lots of specialised machining! Has any one else succeed in one of these builds? Would one of Stilty's rings work better that the Raffles version? Apologies to arrive with lots of questions... Any suggestions gratefully received...
  3. Hello, I'm new to the forum and I'm looking for a Rolex Rep and not get ripped off. I'm seen some of the trusted dealers but I'm just as concerned with the weight of the watch as the quality. Has anyone purchased a Rolex rep that has a thick, heavy band that would "feel" like the original as well as look like it?

  5. I am looking for a couple of watches and have some problems locating them and one of them not really sure if even exsist in a rep. I have recently started collecting replica watches and now my wife is wanting to start her own collection and her birthday is coming up so I have decided to help her with her first purchace. The watches she has picked of out I have found at a couple of site bute not sure if they are repitable and would rather find them at one of our TDs. Ok the first watch is the - BaselWorld 2012 Mens Red Gold Diamonds ROL 116285 BBR-( BaselWorld Rolex Replica Watch Datejust ) I have found this watch at a site called etobuywatch.com an cant really find out alot about them it looks like from the pics they might be a site called bag12.com from the pics cause they are on a wholesaler site called eshop18.com. from the review bag12.com is a scam site and i am wondering if these are just the same people with a new fly by night site? the next watch is a Diamond White Gold Tahitian Mother of Pearl Day Date. the site i found this watch at seems to be a little more trust worthy(myswissrolexreplica.com) but havent read any reviews on them except on there site which not all the time you can beleive. Please any help or info you can assit me with will be greatly appreciated. this will be my wifes birthday present and first replica so it is an important purchace to her.
  6. I've seen pictures of this ProHunter GMT on both here and RepGeek (posted by projectologist). The AR just seems to be incredible. Not only does the crystal vanish but the cyclops seems to retain the "black hole" effect. I have a ProHunter sub that I don't wear purely because the crystal is terrible. The glare off the cyclops is so bad I can't even read the date unless I turn it to just the right angle. I'd love to somehow get a crystal similar to the one on Projectologists ProHunter GMT on my ProHunter Sub. Does anyone have any idea how to get this done? In his post, Projectologists lists that the crystal was double AR coated on both sides. While I believe it was my gut tells me that the crystal must have also been additionally AR coated under the cyclops to add the blackhole effect. I was thinnking that ideally I would take a crystal that already has an AR'd cyclops, like the ones from BigCrown (I actually have one already) and have the whole thing additional double AR coated. The problem is that it's a gen spec crystal and I'm not sure if that will fit in the noob sub, which the ProHunters are based on. Anyone know whether a gen spec crystal can be stuffed into a noob sub? I thought I saw a tutorial on here where someone shows how to take apart a noob sub and replace the crystal with a Clarks (gen spec) crystal by remvoing it through the case back. Anyone run across this thread? Assuming it fits do you think that double AR coating a BigCrown "black hole" crystal would give me a similar result? My other option would be to take out the crystal that came with my ProHunter sub and have it double AR coated but my gut tells me that's not going to give me the "black hole" effect. Can someone who's knows more about AR than me help guide me in the right direction or just chime in with your thoughts?
  7. As some of you may know I have always been a fan of lugholes and have had an ongoing Submariner project for awhile now. It's based on an ST case and after several movement incarnations and some drastic case reworking I wound up here: Bezel, insert and crown are genuine, dial and hands are TC and it's powered by a high-grade 2824 movement I found on ebay. I love this watch imensly but it's just not there yet... And so, having to order some parts for some watch repairs I'm long overdue on, I found myself ordering the ST 3035 (16800) case earlier this evening. I'm not sure yet what the endgame will be but it be nice to have the two cases side-by-side for a comparison. I already have a super-franken 16610 anyway, I think it's time to get a little vintage! I'll update this thread as parts start to arrive and the build goes together. Thanks for looking! ~Brendan
  8. Excuse my lack of terminology: Anyone know the diameter of the cutout circle in the center of a dial meant to be used with an eta 2836? Bonus question: A rolex 5513 genuine spec dial has a diameter of 26mm or 26.5mm?
  9. Hello everyone! I am new member looking for some help. I am looking to purchase my first rep and wanting some assistants finding the right watch and the right dealer. This is my first replica but not my first rolex, my yachtmaster was stolen this Christmas when our house was broken into when my family and I was out of town for Christmas. Thank god our home owners insurance is going to cover our misfortune. But I figured instead of buying another 17 thousand dollar watch I might go and buy my wife a new car, you know the saying happy wife happy life I have a few watches I have picked out but need some help making a informative decision. I like rose gold and like a little bling, I know don't hold it against me;) I'm in the car business and it reflects my personality so go easy on me. First is the rose gold diamond strap Hublot Big Bang from a site called hublotf1 but don't really know much about this seller. The second is the rose gold Rolex Day-Date with the diamond strap and bezel with the black mop dial. I love this watch! The dealer is a site called timeshop dot net which is a trusted seller on some forums but I wonder about the quality. Last is the diamond two tone gmt master and the two tone submariner. I like the fact that I just learned that there are a lot of mods you can do to these watches which sounds pretty cool just not sure which seller has the best quality watch. There is just a lot to take in and though I have done my home work I feel I need the help from a more knowledgable member to assist me. From( gold rapped, gold plated, movement, mods, dealers to the watches them selves) I'm just not sure where to start. Any help info or input will be appreciated remember I am a noob. Thanks and God bless
  10. Hi guys, I just recieved my new superlummed sea dweller and already had a gen insert to go with it, so i removed the pearl with an exacto knife to remove the rep insert wich was glued on to the bezel. When i compared them they seem identical in size, but when i tried to put it on... SURPRISE... the gen insert did not fit so i had to put back the rep insert wich did not needed to be glued again, it snapped right in perfectly. Any ideas on what mods to do so i can get it to fit? Thanks in advice

  13. Hello everyone, I'm new to the game here, but I am very interested in purchasing a rep Rolex. I've looked at a lot of sites and site reviews and I came across RWG. I've checked out a couple of TD's listed on this site, (Trusty Time,) and ( Perfect Clones ). I was just looking for feedback on this model rolex to see if any one here has purchased one or a similar model from either of these two TD's. Also, what is the difference when they list a watch that says, "higher quality parts and construction..." Does that mean higher quality parts and construction than the original version, or is that higher quality parts and construction than their other models that they make? Thanks for any response.
  14. It's a rainy day and I'm playing with my toys (Eos 600D, Photoshop, watches). Hope you like it! Datejust 16200 Submariner 14060M Front facing with reflections Side view Tudor Heritage Monte Carlo Homage Grey Dial And at last, but not least Omega SMP 2531.80 Enjoy!
  15. Hey guys, I have a few reps now and I've been looking into getting a Rolex Day-Date II Rep. I was wondering for those of you who own them, which ones are the most accurate to their genuine counterpart out of the box?
  16. I never owned a gen or a rep YM, so I'm not familiar with that particular model.... Is this new version good enough to be considered a good base to push it to a super rep level? Thanks for your insight !!! See it on : http://www.puretime.co/product/yacht-master-16622-sa3135-best-edition-v2/
  17. Dear fellow Rolex lovers, Just bought a Sub 16610 LN and am ready to make my move for a gen insert and dial. I have recieved an offer at 850$ for both the insert and dial. What do you think ? Good deal ? Fair ? Too expensive ? I already have gen tube, gen crown, clark cyclop. Anything else I should buy before to send everything to Domi? Hands ? DW ? Thanks for your reply. Fran Fran.
  18. Hey there knowledgable friends, I am trying to repair one of my favourite watches, my Deep Sea Sea Dweller. The movement is going to be repaired and serviced but now I want to fix the dial issue once and for all. What is the dial issue you ask? I'll tell you! The dial is missing both feet and was simply glued to the movement, when I get the fresh movement back I would like to avoid glueing the dial back on to the movement and for that I need a new dial. What is my best course of action to get a high quality rep dial for this watch? can I go through a TD or is there a better source for replica parts? Any help at all is, as always, greatly appreciated. Mike
  19. Hi! I ordered a watch from dhjason007.com the 3rd october. On the site, it says "pending" for 5 days now. Does anyone have experience from this seller? I contacted him to ask about the shipping, he replied 2 times under 1 hour, but since then, he hasent replied for 2 days. "hi friend please tell me the order number,i will check for you. thanks jason" and then he wrote: "can you tell me your dhgate name?" I told him my name on dhjason007.com, but he still hasent replied. anyone know something about him?!

    5513

I have a 5513 Sub that, for some reason, stops and starts rather erratically. I know this question probably would have been better in a different section, but I figured I'd ask it here because this seems to be the section with the most "franken" builders. This 5513 seems to be fully wound, and will run for like 5 seconds and then stop. Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong with it, or who could fix it for me? Thanks in advance!
  21. David will soon have new aftermarket dials for all Daytona models... If you want to pre-order : just PM David directly.
  22. Hey, I was hoping for some advice regarding buying a replica full gold yachtmaster with swiss eta. I just want to know wether its worth it or not concerning the general quality of gold plating in gens or if I should just play it safe and go with a 2-tone? Thanks
  23. I'll start by saying this, I am not very good at documenting my work but pictures are en route, I also made some Newb mistakes during the dissassembly that I may need help fixing.... alright disclaimers notwithstanding.... I performed my very first keyless works repair last night! This whole issue came about after I got frustrated with a crooked crystal on my DSSD, it has been like this from the time it arrived, over a year ago. I had attempted to press the crystal in, with no luck, in the past but had never taken a watch apart and certainly didn't try that a year ago with I got this watch. This time, I started tapping the crystal (dumb, I know) and in the process I caused the second hand to pop off, the dial to come loose, and the crystal to stay right where it was when I started At this point I knew I had to take the watch apart to replace the second hand and I would just pop the crystal out and re-install it into the watch. (I also had no idea that the dial was loose on the movement at this time). I managed to get the Crystal installed in the case, nice and straight, and simply pop the second hand back on, no problems and I was good to go.... threw the watch on my wrist and took the dog for a walk, and that's when I saw the dial turning freely around inside the case When I got home I took the watch off and opened it up, pulled the movement out and glued the dial to the movement ring (not sure what this part is called but it had come unglued from the ring that connects the dial to the movement. I popped the watch back together only to immediately notice a spec of dust on the dial, and I went back in...... that's when my luck ran out and I finally gummed up the keyless works. It was now 20:00 and I was getting tired, but that didn't stop me. Tonight, between finishing my assembly and taking the dog for another walk, I will update this post with terribly documented repair pictures that show very little detail and will never help anyone, but like I said, I'm no good at documenting anything. Until then, I hope everyone is having a good.....time Mike
