Ronin
Stumbled upon this. Hmmmm Could be awesome! http://www.puretimew...?productID=2148 I don't want to DDOS their site by hot-linking pics but here are the specs. Size: 39.5mm x 17.8mm (incl. crystal) Movement: Swiss ETA-2846 automatic movement at 21600vph (low beat movement which is similar to the genuine which is 19800vph) Functions: hours, minutes, seconds and date display Case: 316L steel case with thick springbar Crystal: super-dome plexi crystal (made with a gen as sample) Dial: we make many dial options as vintage Rolex fans all know there are many dials for this watch, we made about 4-5 dials Bezel: freely rotating bezel with black insert and dome plastic pearl Strap: steel bracelet with correct markings Clasp: flip-lock deployant buckle Water resistance: >50 Meters Remark: PureTime has spent few months working with the best vintage replica maker on this watch, we admit it is not 100% same as genuine but it is the best out-of-the-box version in the market. jmb
That looks very nice and an excellent price for one with ETA.
kbh
Looks very interesting...... I'll probably have to give it a try when they get in stock.
watcher
That looks pretty good with quite Good date fonts. I wonder about the bezel consrtuction whether it is like the MBw/gen or like the newest reps from Joshua etc.
Guest techlogik
Interesting, they have put some work into this. The crown does look better. But, they need to actually be able to sell it and have them in stock...that would be helpful!
Member X
I like the look of these but I'm always worried that the dial markings look too new. Is there an easy way to age them that won't require super-technical skills? lol Or some way to buy an aged dial version out of the box?
FxrAndy
It does state it is a prototype, I am sure once it is finalized they will have it on stock

By-Tor
Nice. Even the pearl looks ok compared to the awful default MBW one. Looks like they have finally gotten the message. Vintage Rolex reps sell. Red Sea Dweller is just so "over the edge" though... maybe they'll rep the white versions later. PS: The coronet on the clasp is terrible though. Tribal
Yep they will do other variations too. White and Comex I think
ubiquitous
Indeed- Looks to be a nice step in the right direction! Nice pearl, drilled lugs, decent crown... I wonder what the build/assembly of the bezel is like?
By-Tor
You know what vintage model would sell like no other... GMT 1675. We have seen the Dwellers, Subs and Daytonas... but there has never been a decent 1675.
Tribal
Yep would love to see the Bezel assembly too. You are so right we need a Vintage GMT also and they are not hard to replicate
Stephane
Looks good indeed but I have a doubt about the lugholes though. Maybe the photos, but they seem a bit to high...at least in the fourth photo. I could be wrong of course.

alligoat
Like the new DW, end pieces are cool, wish they would quit with the laser etching, price is OK, and I'm w/ ByTor, the DRSD is too over the top for me. Wonder if it has the working CN HE valve? Crown and tube could be cool- the old 703 crown and a decent gen-like rep tube??? Shoot, if they incorporated those changes into the red sub w/ a good dial and it would take gen crystal and bezel/insert, man it would be cool! geyper man
I wonder what the build/assembly of the bezel is like? +1 That's one of the most important things regarding those vintages.
panerai153
I just got the email. I looked at the DRSD, pretty nice watch. Some glaring dial deficencies. I was impressed with the crown position, much more centered, and the replacement crown looks much better than the one on the watch. I bet this one would really look good with a genuine crown/tube and a better dial.Nice price too for a watch with a genuine 2846 slow beat. Springbar holes look drilled out to genuine diameter, which is a first for a rep isn't it? Would be nice to know if this one will accept genuine parts?+ Arthur

panerai153
I'm with By-Tor, the DRS is a raaaaaare watch. Not many around, and not the sort of watch anyone would wear on a daily or regular basis. Heck, I would bet 99% of the collectible quality DRSD's never see the light of day, except to come out of the safe or Safety deposit box occasionally to be "Fondled" by their owners. It sure isn't the watch some 30 something guy would wear to the beach or out having a few beers with his friends.in fact this 60 something probably wouldn't wear mine out very much if I was lucky enough to have one. Just too valuable, and on top of that good condition genuine parts are becoming harder and harder to source. Maybe when they come out with a white dial version, they can fix the dial. they need to redo their spacing of ROLEX under the Coronet. The L should be directly in the middle of the Coronet, or slightly offset to the right. This one is way off left. All in all a nice watch, and if they use the proper bezel assembly like genuine, that would be a real deal. Arthur

Tha would be a really, really great watch. Arthur
milesd
This is great timing as I've wanted to build a vintage rolex for some time now. After the shock wore off after getting the price for the Yuki 5517 case, this is a welcome surprise!
