plaifender
Hey everyone, The wife of a good friend of mine was diagnosed with HPV several years ago. She was diagnosed with one of the more "high risk" types of hpv that can adversely effect the cervix. two years ago doctors found malignant cells on her cervix and since then have been unable to control the spread of the infected cells. They gave birth to a beautiful baby girl a year ago while his wife was in a dormant phase. This month doctors found 2 malignant tumors on her intestinal wall and fear that nothing will stop the cancer from spreading. His wife has been in constant pain for the last 2 weeks and she's been on a morphine drip to curb the horrible pains. As a last resort a very courageous doctor from Barcelona has decided to try and operate this morning. The chances don't look good and my wife and I are understandably distraught by the whole thing. I've been speaking to the universe/god/higher power about the situation and hoping that all will be fine. It's not in my normal form to ask for prayers from others but my hands are up in the air at this point. If you feel obliged, I ask that you keep my friend and his family in your thoughts and prayers today as they operate on his wife Barbara today. Anything to help my friend out. thanks for your support -R

freddy333
I wish her the best on the operation, but, to improve her chances, you might ask her husband if he has contacted any of the top 4 cancer treatment hospitals (in the world)? #1 University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Houston, TX www.mdanderson.org #2 Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center New York, NY www.mskcc.org #3 Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN www.mayoclinic.com #4 Johns Hopkins Hospital Baltimore, MD www.hopkinsmedicine.org

Cats
Plai, Thoughts and prayers from the Netherlands to your friends wife. I go with Freddy and advise her to visit the specialists. Things may sound very bad but there is always hope. Almost 3 years ago 2 specialists visited me at my hospital bed telling me to enjoy the next coming Christmas because it was going to be my last , because they discovered a malignant kidney tumor which has spread to my femur bone. Next December will be my 3rd Christmas after i got that message. So tell here to never loose faith and get the support of the best medical care possible in Spain ( or abroad ).
