  1. 6% AND send it as a personal payment?!? i would avoid that.
  2. isnt Mercedes Benz German for "made in Mexico"? i dont like either really, last bmw i fell in love with was at the end of the millennium. since then its been all about the Audi's
  3. that turned out to be a nice little project, probably for cheap too. i especially enjoy the fluke result with the dial bubbling
  4. does it have two slide regulators?
  5. if theyre mbk hands youll want to replace them
  6. i bought this from PT about 2 years ago, which he claimed was a wm9 sub, given the time frame that could very well be. i think its just a 1:1 sub. does it look similar to yours? its an M serial, thin font datewheel. the rehaut engraving has been removed by myself, since the clean one was discontinued he said. im also going to be selling this shortly with everything you see here as i still have some vintage parts to buy for my 5513
  7. the last time i asked PT only the engraved version was available as the previous one was discontinued which would mean it wasnt the same version 1 (z serial), if he is now offering a clean rehaut then its hard to assume either way if it is indeed the same wm9 v1 mold or not. i have seen clean rehaut tw subs with m serials, they simply pull them before the machine engraves them. is your pt supreme "wm9v1" a z or an m serial? the real question is, how well does the case compare to the gen
  8. pts is NOT the wm9 v1. the v1 had no engraving on the rehaut. it is just another sub that accepts gen parts, possibly a tw and possibly not. judge it not by its given title.
  9. i wouldnt use rodico on gloss dials as it seems to leave some grease marks, for cleaning i use compressed air, microfiber and optical solution.
  10. the fact that it says 1680 between the lugs and not 5513 means its not the older style case. the rear cgs are also different than the usual squared type i get, date mag, caseback and lug thickness also looks different. also the endlinks that come with the mbks were open springbar, yours are closed. dial and crown look typical, insert is slightly different. i believe this is the new one, you must request they build you the old style. get some more bracelet shots, im intrigued by these endlinks. also hope your movement doesnt gum up next week as mbk is notorious for having this problem but it seems to mostly effect no date subs. serial # sounds good, but like alli' said try fitting gen parts, who knows maybe this is a new hybrid (doubtful)
  11. id be all over this option but theres no getting over those cgs
  12. wm9 is better. super lume, engravings, and cgs alone, even the bracelet is correctly hollow and unstamped at the end link. the tw is not.
  13. the eta stem youre looking for is part # 401
  14. depends on how it was inserted, hard to tell with out actually seeing it
  15. watches are available in limited quantities while they last, miscellaneous parts including cases are not, but all you really want is the case and possibly the dial if its not a 5513/12. the rest is worthy of trash day, and their assembly needs third part intervention to properly QC it (their movements are horrendous). what they need is someone to clone their cases so theyre not constantly at the mercy of the eccentric mr piek, and no joshs case will not do. the future is uncertain as his brother "his boss" Pichay has passed away (May 2011), i learned of his illness in February which he could only describe in limited english as "broken inside" and the shortage of misc parts began. so who really knows whats going on there or whats going to be happening. mr piek seemed to rely heavily on his brother to order/get/make these watches, im uncertain of his ability to adapt to these changes and step up to continue his brothers MBK legacy. i dont even know if mr piek knows where to order these polex watches from, his brother seemed to be the ring leader.
  16. yeah i dont suggest you do the hands yourself if you have no experience, especially if you want them to be pristine. you can install new hands with just the crystal off, which is how i always do it in order to remove any dust from the dial before reinsertion. also it helps to have the stem installed while its seated in the case, cause if you screw up the keyless works you have to tear it all down and risk damaging the hands because at that point you have to remove them
  17. your stem needs adjusting, and possibly not correctly engaged in the keyless works the movment may not be screwed down correctly with the tabs incorrectly seated. is that yukis dial and hands?
  18. that crown is almost dead when the tritium in the second hand fell out where did it end up?
  19. +2sec elabore grade 2836 another example of reason to not spend 12X the price on a gen rolex movement.
  20. yes, i forget the case ref but gen datewheels with 1665 fonts and correct turning dates do exist, cheaply too
