  1. Both of my 3+ years old Ti watches have Ti strap screws.....and I've never had any provlems despite numerous strap changes...
  2. You need the Seagull ST25-30 modular movement.....Just a "ST25" ain't enough!!
  3. The best $70. I've spent in awhile!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  4. I'm with the buyer here......Whenever I ship I get tracking and insurance. Otherwise there is no evidence of compliance at either end of the deal...No way to do business....even between friends!! If the seller cannot prove he shipped, he owes the seller a full refund....Finis !! And....By neglecting to get delivery confirmation, the seller has no defense against an untruthful buyer.... The few extra dollars involved should be considered the cost of doing business...If you skip this expense, you alone are responsible... :bangin:
  5. That is a "IWWTTABF"* watch!! * "I wouldn't wear that to a buzzard fcuk" :bangin:
  6. I unscrewed mine on Wednesday....I had just received it, and wanted to check out which 21J movement it contained...Mine has the raised back like on the chrono....The screws were a bit dodgy, some were deeper than others, but I managed to get it back together ok...I would suggest NOT trying to switch the position when reassembling...
  7. Or ....You could wear one of these...I got mine @ 12 years ago from R. Paige on TimeZone...
  8. Works fine...Just make sure you remove the Tachy ring or you'll end up with a 191.5...like this!! This was done by the guy I bought it from!!
  9. Here's @ 1/2....The rest are mostly gen vintage pieces...
  10. I like this one a lot: But...The devil prefers this "autographed" model...: :whistling:
  11. I can recall not being able to find replacement straps for my 1016, back in the '60's, because 18mm was the widest commonly produced strap width... I have a drawer full of vintage Elgin's, Hamiltons, Bulovas, Walthams, etc., that I haven't worn in a few years, since I discovered 44-47Mm Pannys...They just look ridiculously puny...Even my (rep) no CG "Bond" sub feels tiny... Hopefully, some day, the style trends will shift back to smaller stuff, and I can feel comfortable with my ancient treasures again!!
  12. Here's another variation of that case...:
  13. 39mm...But plenty big enough for Steve McQueen! ! 38mm...but still one of my favorites!! A Gen Omega from @ 8 yrs ago...Lume is still "torch like" ALL NIGHT!!
  14. Don't laugh TOO loud!! A few yrs back, it wasn't uncommon for Asian yacht builders to "knock off" successful pleasure yacht hull designs...EG.."Newport Yachts" which had the legendary" C&C RedLine 41'" racing yacht reproduced in Taiwan as the "Newport 41"...And that was 25+ years ago!! I can recall being aboard a "Shannon" yacht at the Annapolis boat show, when a hoard of Asian folks descended into the cabin area, with their Nikon's blazing away!!...They took close up shots of virtually every square inch of the construction details....The "mirror slap" racket was deafening!!...LOL
  15. I guess I'm unique!!...Got this one BNIB @ 6 years ago for less than many decent reps cost these days..
  16. Buy me a round trip first class ticket....I'll deliver it for you!!
  17. Whoa!!....You got me all excited that "Gunnar" was back!!....Lots of great guys are no longer around...
  18. How is this a "positive" deal...??? Sending the RIGHT watch the FIRST time is a "positive deal" IMNSFHO!!!!
  19. Is a "thick" CG correct for this watch...??All the pics of Gen's I have seen have the "pre V" thinner configuration, with the slightly curved face, and flush pin ...
  20. Usually any dealer not actually located in China and especially those in Europe, or CONUS....I no longer buy directly from any Asian sources...Strictly CONUS these days!!
  21. $100-150....$200 TOPS!!.... Fortunately, I filled my watch box back before the prices got insane... The only reps I buy these days are used ones, usually with some problems I can easily fix, and since I already have decent Pam and Omega selection, and have already gotten over the Rolex "thing", and have absolutely NO interest in the grotesque(IMNSFHO anyhow!!)crap that Graham and B&R offer, I don't feel any "buying pressures" anymore.... And another sure sign that I'm still clinging to at least a shred of sanity is: I feel no need for double sided A/R, or glowing lume on my reps, and therefore don't EVER intend to spend the price of a whole 'nuther watch to attain it !! And I ain't too big on displays either!!
  22. Pam 036 here too!! nice clean chocolate brown dial, looks great once the Ti oxidizes a bit...
  23. Here's mine: Picked it up off Ebay 6 yrs ago for less than many are now paying for alleged "super reps"@$435.00...IIRC!!BNIB!! The sparkplug is from Jochen Rindt's Cooper Maserati that he drove in the US grand Prix at Watkins Glen in 1967...I picked it up myself from the pile of 36 of them in his pits after a plug change..Yeah...A V-12 with 3 plugs per cylinder!!...Not too long after that he was killed in a race crash... BTW the watch is a Gen too!!...I wore it every day for @4 yrs until I got bitten by the REP bug!! ;) :)
