Hi fellow members: This question may have been answered before, but it's always pertinent in a forum like this. What's is your favorite (only one) Rep or gen watch in your collection ? Mine is the MBW Rolex Submariner 1680.

How to identify an automatic movement choice?
alterego replied to broadbeach's topic in General Discussion
I totally agree with you. I have a few old school reps with Swiss ETA movements, which I always have taken for granted are "Swiis." I´ll take a closer look and see if that is the case or they Chinese Chinese clones. -
Here you go ! for the Gen. https://www.google.cl/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=Fv7hVP_2E9CDsgSzioGoDQ&gws_rd=ssl#q=patek+3800+review

where i can buy the best replica of a rolex and it's not a scam
alterego replied to efrainparedes's topic in The Rolex Area
It´s not as simple as registering. I mean, getting to know who you can buy from with confidence is a process that takes time. A lot more than a 24 hrs membership in the forum. There are tons of information here, the point is doing some research before asking who sells the best rep. -
The watch looks great, onsiderincg you re posting some "crappy pics."

Thank you guys for the feedback on the Space Dweller dial. Indeed it´s a beautiful face. After seing the Reppin build´s pic I have no doubts I´ll use it in the project. I can´t wait to have the case so as to start. Then It´ll be time to think of the bracelet and movement, so as to qualify as a member of the Club. Thank you all again. Cheers !!!

Hi: Here is an update on the 1016 build. Because of low resources for funding the project and as the gen s run quite high in price I decided to go for the Yuki dial. It arrived today, but surprise ... he sent me a Space Dweller dial instead . I had little knowledge about this variant of the 1016. So I don´t know what to do. The sial is similar in seze but the Explorer signature has been replaced for Space Dweller. I´m still waiting for the case from JMB, shipped abut three weeks ago. What do you brothers think about putting together a Space Dweller instead of the original Explorer ? here is a pic of the dial.

Sorrty. The box is clean now.

Thank you for your comments Blue. You are right when you say I should look for a for a dial first. This is the most difficult part to sourceI guess, so once you have it, you one'll feel closer to the moment to tie the watch to your wrist. I'll keep my eyes open. Not to mention that if youknow about a decent dial you'll pass on, please let me know. by PM. The case is an old school (2005) rep Datejust ref 16200 with saphire crystal. I know I need an older case, capable of receiving the plexi crystal. But, that's where I am as I write this note. Thank you for all the help to you and other members who have repied to my post. Cheers !!!

Thank you Tom for the tips. I know youy are a serious 1016 collector and I'll try to find one of the options you suggest. By the way, do you know the diameter of the 1016 dial ? Again, thank you for your suggestions.

Hi fellows. I hope you can help me in this one. Since I sold my gen 1016 a year ago I've been looking for a rep, to fill that huge empty place in my watch box and my heart. As the reps available are not as good, I 'm thinking of building one. That is to say, ask my watch master do it for me. I have a Datejust case and movement (Swiss ETA) I ned a dial, hands, crown, tube, crystal and bracelet. Since gen dials go from $ 1.500 to $ 4.000K I think I'll go for a refinished one, that can be bought for a lot less. There are few in the bay but I don't know the diameter that will fit the case. I cheked nd there are some that have a 26.2 mm diameter Is tat the standard for the vintage Explorer ?. I know this is going to be a long time project, but I want to start wi this first monthof the year. I'll very much appreciate your suggestions. Cheers !!!

That's what I thought a year ago,he I sols my 1016 tofund the puchase of a MINI Cooper. I am as happy as I can be driving the car, which is not the same as having the watch in the safe. I'm now looking for a high quality rep vintage Explorer, that will replace the gen. Although I suspect it won't feel the same as the gen on my wrist. Ah. I forgot to say the car is gen and not a rep.

At this poin it's hard to come up with some equivalence that has not already been mntioned. It's curious though that contributions to this thread focus on 10 to 12 brands, considering that thre are probably a couple of hundred in the market; like, Ball, Bell and Ross, Vacheron, Girard, Victorinox, Graham, Ulysse Nardin, Doxa, Maurice Lacroix, Bulgari, to mention a few. Within this context, let ad my 00.2 cents to the list. Victorinox = Hyundai Vacheron = Citroën Doxa = Volkswagen

Well, The idea of posting a pic of this watch had been in my mind for a long time. I never did because I thought it would be a little embarrasing receiving comments about the poor quality of watch. But a wek ago I thought, the heck. This watch has been with me for almost 25 years, working like champ and giving me many satisfactions. For those new to this adiction (I mean replica watches) please, think that back then when I bought it , there was no facebook, no cel phones, no replica forums and internet was something used as little we play cassette tapes today. The watch presumed to be a copy of the then very popular Breitling Blackbird, a hot pilot's watch at the time. In detail, the watche's resemblace to the gen is of course very poor, but to this happy owner that's irrelevant. What really counts is its identity and stampa. Something that inmmediately seduced me when I saw it at a souvenir shop in Wshinton DC.

I was reading this very old thread and I had never thought there'd be a "recent" post on the Ingenieur. I'll PM you. .

Nice watch. $ 5.99 with shipping ? That is obscenely cheap. Get a dozen and give them as presents at the xmas office party.
-
Lots of good reasons to take pictures inside the car as illustratated by the examples in the thread. . Another situation is matching a nice watch dial witht the analog instruments on the dashboard.

Thank you bro: It looks I´ll have to sit and wait. Thank you again for your comments

Hi: I Wonder if has anyone ordered from Angus lately. I want to order a watch and make sure it's in stock and I've sent three mails without reply. I'll very much appreciate your comments/opinions and advice. Cheers.
