Hi: I have been thinking about how relevant is the quality of your rep versus the emotion of wearing something that despite the fact of being not the cream of the cream in terms of it origin. Like I own a humble 20 dollar quartz Breitling Chronomat I bought 20 years ago ( it still runs great) which I wear regularly with pride but I'd never post in the wrist shot thread.

A re is a rep and an gen is a gen. Even if you find the "perfect rep", you'll always know it's a rep and that's a big part of the equation.

I'm sure you'll have some spare time to take the break in 18 months and ... solve your problem

Hi: My watch maker, who does not speak English, told me his 30m year old time graph machine died. This is the type that would print on paper (very much like very much like the cash registers) the tests results. I have seen on some posts that some of you guys have the equivalent instrument. Can someone comment on hoe can I get as hold of one of these machines in the internet ? If I tell him how he can get one, this man is going to be happy and he will probably will be more willing to service my reps without complaint In case someone knows about it. Please, lety me know. Thank you much for reading my question. Alter I'm sorry, very sorry guys. I meant "to get a hold" of one of these. Not like my faulty key board spelled it.

Thank you all for your comments on the topic. I think looking for replacement movements on sale is a good option when wacthmaker is not interested in helping you to fix a chaep one. I have already replaced poor quality movements with ETA equivalent on a Breitling Navitimer and Rolex 5512. I'll probabl do the same with my older Patek Nautilus and Explorer 1016. Cheers !!!

Hi: I have about a dozen replicas and some of them are old enough to be in need of adjustment and oiling. I have a watchmaker that reluctantly does the job fior me. Most of the time he complains that the movements are not good and prone to break down, without much of a chance to find parts for reparing. So I wonder if I am an exception, trying to have my rep watches serviced, rather than getting rid of them and buying new pieces to keep the collection going ?

Great thread for watch forum. Please, let me know (PM) where I can contact Ken. My girlfriend would die for one of those.

That's the question when sending money by WU. If you ordered from a TD you should be OK, as he will not rip you off, as scammers s would.

Sorry to hear that brother. Ceramics is fragile. I'm sure you'll be able to source the part. In the meantime, you may enjoy the watch by what it is rather than by what it looks.

Beautiful Tudor Sub. I really like that dial. I own a gen but wouldn't mind having one like yours as well. Can you share some specs ?
