  2. Great review of a great rep. The Crazy Hours is just fantastic - I have the black face version. It's one of the few watches that will elicit even a glimmer of interest from non-WIS types.
  3. Yeah, it was more the bits that were totally wrong that concerned me. The US has different banking laws from Australia - it doubles the number of mistakes from even that article. The 'best-regarded' advice in that article was "Never have your SS# printed on your checks, (DUH!)". It has been updated to Australia as "Never have your Centrelink Number printed on your cheques" and, let's face it, that's comically useless advice. Take this bit of advice: "Call the three national credit reporting organisations [that don't exist in Australia] immediately to place a fraud alert on your name and Social Security number [a number that doesn't exist in Australia]" I'm not trying to prove a point - I just don't want people thinking this email is offering legitimate advice, because it isn't.
  4. Congratulations on the 10k!!
  5. Sorry guys - this is crap. It's NOT Australian (attorneys, DMV?!), and it's not true. http://www.scambusters.org/creditcardfraudprevention.html
  6. Awesome review - thank you! I'm still tempted by this one - maybe one day....
  7. "Hey, he killed Corgi! You bastard!" Just kidding ya!
  8. What the hell is wrong with Rolex?!??? Is it just me? That looks like an ioffer hit parade of implausible reps. Ring lock system sounds like a gay sadomasochistic device. I don't know what to say about the last watches with the numbers falling all over the dial - a belated tie-in with the Matrix movie?
  9. Wow - sounds like a fantastic trip; for a couple of months that's work I take it?
  10. Sounds like it was awesome Damn, that's made me hungry now
  11. This is weird, mine doesn't look like either of those. And now you've made me look - the font doesn't seem to be the same between the numbers as I go around the dial Is that normal? My 30 and 31 are different fonts altogether...I mean miles apart. [incidentally I consider this a Noobfactory issue, I'm interested in it from that perspective] EDIT TO ADD: I also know zero about Rolexes, so educate away!
  12. I agree. Another Basel, another tourbillon - how imaginative of them. Let's hope cuckoos don't come back into fashion....
  13. WOW! Thank you for another outstanding review. I'm not into gold as a rule - but damn, those photos look soooo good Thank you!
  14. Crap - I think you got me!! I'll sacrifice this kid to buy some time....
  15. Is it just me, or is the font in the 'S' off in Slazenger in the background there
  16. Okay Ken - I'll take your battleship and raise you one...
  17. Okay.....and these are entirely my own thoughts. I raise you a sub killer chopper and a swimming chimp. And a frisky panda.
  18. I'll see your Kursk, and raise you taking the plug out... Steward's enquiry: Don't submarines have to hide from planes? And, for that matter, are they vulnerable to chimps with guns?
  19. I'll see your tank, and raise you an A-10.
  20. LATEST CHINESE ANIMAL NEWS...... Pandas in China treated to 'panda porn' and given sex lessons aimed at improving their hip gyrating technique: The Times
  21. It's also why reputations are part of forum life too. An unknown buyer is exactly that - they could be great, they could be a total frickin' loon. [so if anyone is still lurking, there are benefits to stepping out from the shadows and saying hello!! ]
