It's a shame I can't get those dials anymore. The last batch I got had "maxi" markers, looked good but not sure if there was a non-COSC dial with those markers in the wild or not. If so I might be able to get some of those...

sacs - those are way cool but a bit pricey for my wallet!
-
OK, Freddy, just for you. Partial collection and a few select cuts... The AK I built from a surplus Polish "parts kit" and the AR I built on a Tactical Machining 80% lower, Mag-Pul stock, and a Stoner top end.

Looks good, Bro! As mentioned tone down the hands a bit and either thin the crown a bit. You can do a decent job on the crown by chucking it in a drill, locking the frill on, and holding a fine file against the crown to produce a bevel. This will cause the crown to appear much thinner, closer to gen. Here's a slightly thinned crown on a watch I just sold:

I'll take snap inside of my gun safe tomorrow and post up a pic. I'll also post a couple of "favorites" as well.

I have a PPS43 "parts kit." One of these days when I get caught up I'll order a receiver "flat" and build it. I have decided, though, to use a 9mm barrel blank. I just finished an AR style carbine chambered for 7.62x39 which I just tested at Rob's - shoots like a dream!

Yeah, that would be a bit much to "squeeze..."
-
If it's only just a little too big you can try to slightly squeeze the "tube" a bit.

Spent all day yesterday reloading all the ammo I went through out there! Now I gotta order some more powder... -
I think I have a few of them left, I turned most of 'em into "dial blanks" to play around with...
-
Doesn't look THAT bad. Send it to me and I'll dispose of it in a case...
-
Turned out SUPER!! Great looking dial.

Nanuq - That's one of the things I miss the most about Fairbanks - CITY SPONSORED FREE RANGE!!! Nice evil lookin' piece, Freddy! The eagle-eyed among you might notice the Model 29 that Rob is holding is missing the rear sight. The screw decided to part ways with the gun on the 13th shot and hit me in the nose! Fortunately my getting in the way of the sight caused it to be easy to find but not so with the itty-bitty screw. I ordered a screw on Monday, it got here today, and the rear sight is now reinstalled with ref Loc-Tite on the screw... -

Will a ST19 fit in a DW 7750 case or am I screwed?

I think the stem height is different... -
I think the Athaya 700/702 tube now uses the same thread as a gen spec 7030 tube. The only thing I can think of, right off, is that if the tube has been "sunk" into the case fairly deep then the 6020 tube might not stick out far enough and you might nee do screw it in to the proper length with epoxy instead of Loc-Tite. You won't know until you try it and see...

I've never done one so don't have any fixtures built to hold them and I'm afraid the vibration from the rotary cutter might crack or dislodge the jewel. Maybe someday if someone sent me a knackered bridge to practice on I might give it a try but don't want to risk messing up a good bridge.

That's why I've not used mine! Kinda makes me a bit paranoid hooking up a plastic jug to the air compressor...
-
I've actually made one of those several years ago but have never used it!

goat - the T22 crystal is around .020" larger in OD than the T21...

Bart - the crown used was one of the "old style" 6mm crowns that fit the small tube that needs to be reamed after installation. If I use one of the newer crowns then the tube needs to be changed. Good looking builds, Jake. Love the Date-Day, kinda wish I'd kept mine...
