Again, this is an issue of pathology within culture, not race. This culture of pathology affects whites, blacks, browns, etc. Not quite sure how this keeps being confused with pride, which is not the issue (I am referring to) at all.
Until the 1970s, the vast majority of people who came to the great melting pot that is the USA came to become Americans. Ask any US senior citizen who emigrated to the US from Europe or Asia at the turn of the last century what nationality they are. Of course, the question is rhetorical, because nearly all would say 'American' & their country is the United States of America. And these people would have said the same thing the day they received their citizenship. Sadly, that is no longer the norm, especially for people immigrating to the US (often illegally) through its southern border or the UK/EU from Muslim countries.
