  1. The shape of the hour & seconds hands. Is your seconds hand pointed/flat-edged & does the inner lume section your hour hand terminate along the arc of the center hole or does it begin a bit beyond it Again, it may just be the way I am seeing things in your pics, but I thought it best to ask.
  2. Please do not re-quote entire pic threads just to add a few words/comments.
  3. Can you post a macro of the hour hand?
  4. If aftermarket, it is the best 1 I have seen.
  5. I may be seeing something that is not there, but are you sure the hands are gen? Either way, a stunner of a watch, Ubi.
  6. Although he has been around quite awhile & has an excellent seller rating, whenever I see 'new', 'unused' or 'NOS' gen Rolex parts being sold unpackaged & generally below market pricing, I smell salmon. Perhaps unwittingly, but I fear this seller may be selling Asian-made aftermarket parts as gens. Buyer beware.
  7. 9 3/4" 'bubbleback' movement. Rolex does not use ETA movements in their Rolex branded watches.
  8. Aside from the bracelet, my only qualm is the shape of the CGs, which look a bit too triangular. Otherwise, VERY well done.
  9. My ultimate grail & the only watch that has (so far) eluded my franken-built clutches is the Lange 1, in precisely the form that tomhorn posted above. 2nd after the Lange are the ultimate Rolex collectibles - the SS 6062 Moonphase (preferably with dauphine hands & star indexes) or 4113 Chronographe Rattrapante (Split Seconds Chronograph)
  10. Your biggest expenses (since you already have the movement -- I would get the 2846 serviced & use that) will be the dial & case. Unless you use a standard rep case, you will probably require some type of spacer to fit the ETA movement into most aftermarket cases, since they are usually made to fit a gen Rolex movement. The dials in Bond Subs tended to vary a bit, so you have a bit of latitude there. As always, I would recommend doing your homework before beginning to build. Check out gens on TZ, VRF & google to see the various iterations & options. There are a handful of 653x frankens on RWG (including my 6536-1) that you can search out to get the fires burning.
  11. Ending the work week wearing the same Sub
  12. It has been many months since I last purchased a T21 (current, beveled style), but I think the price was around $200.
  13. I would give him 1 week to reply. If no reply, then I would email him again (via his website) & keep the email simple & cordial. Include the item numbers ordered & the total cost of the order (including shipping) & ask for status. Give him 72 hours (3 days) to respond & then post the results here.
  14. For a 551x/1680/1665 with a gen or gen-size/style case (MBW/NDT/Yuki, etc), click here Then, swap the oem pearl in this insert with Ofrei's Ilumines dot (pearl) (usually, Ofrei's dot snaps right in, but, in some cases, it may require a small dab of cement) For a 168xx with a gen or gen-size/style case (MBW/NDT/Yuki, etc), try this You would do well to avoid wholesaleoutletxx & Mr. Slimeball's various aliased organizations. He is a pathological liar & they (his organizations) are all rip-offs.
  15. Same old, same old (again) for me as well
  16. Shall I forward you some of my V1agra spam?
  17. Same as yesterday
  18. Kurt - email sent.
  19. I am not familiar with the F.A.Jones movement, but I think we are saying the same thing. Yes, you would need to fix/glue the center & top 2 subdial hands, but, still, the problem is locating a movement that fits the dial.
  20. Only if you can locate a 3-hand movement with running seconds at 6 (instead of the center) that fits into the cutout for the hour totalizer (lower subdial) in your dial. People have been searching for such a movement since I have been here, but I am not aware that anyone has yet found 1.
  21. Sub today
