  1. The genuine are much nicer in my opinion. If you insist on a replica (like, fake one) then I'd get a Legend. But I don't know where you would get one?
  2. https://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/boutiques/ You're welcome.
  3. Any chance the reversing wheel had been installed upside down?
  4. Well what a coincidence, never seen a Spaceview in the flesh and then this turns up on my bench...
  5. But it’s not a standard 7750 and to access the gears on that 12 o’clock subdial the top plate will need to be removed, under which will be all the extra extra gears that shift running seconds from 9 o’clock down to 6 o’clock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. The centre second hand is more than likely slipping, so need resetting and pressing on the pinion securely. This is a straight forward job for anyone competent working on watches. The second issue of the 60 minute counter running continuously indicates a problem that would need further investigation. This watch has a modification to move the running seconds from 9 o'clock to 6 o'clock. That means a few extra gears and I am unaware what the layout of it is. I can imagine how disappointing this is but my advice would be to get the centre seconds hand set properly and forget about the 60 minute counter. It may be more trouble than what it's worth.
  7. You should really try to simplify your problem. Your methods of explanation are very confusing! You have 2 hands that record chronograph functions, centre seconds & 60 minute counter (12 o'clock subdial) When you stop the chronograph and reset it, the centre seconds hand is gradually moving further from the 12 o'clock position...Yes? If so, the hand 'probably' needs reseting. This requires lifting the hand, moving it back to the 12 o'clock position and pressing it back onto its pivot. Is the 60 minute counting hand (12 o'clock subdial) reseting to the same (- ~1 minute) position every time or is that gradually moving too?
  8. Fantastic watch! And....Just about to be re-issued, I am 'hoping' to get one. https://www.fratellowatches.com/bulova-accutron-spaceview-re-introduced-during-baselworld-2010/
  9. Movement accuracy is largely dependant on 2 factors. Position & environmental conditions. This is after you have taken mechanical inaccuracies out of the equation. The goal is to have the least amount of variance in time keeping, no matter what orientation the watch is in or whether it's freezing cold or piping hot. I will write up a more detailed explanation when I have time. If your watch (whilst being worn) is at + 5 seconds per day, then it is fairly accurate.
  10. Clone of Jomashop https://www.jomashop.com Online retailer of grey market gens at very good prices.
  11. Bogus version of Jomashop https://www.jomashop.com/? A legit retailer selling gens at very good prices (grey market) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. With these Vietnam cases that accept the gen crown, the level of 1675 builds have stepped up a fair few notches. This is an excellent build...well done! Did you have any work done to the case, bevels cut etc? I just might have to swap out my cartel case build for one of these cases!
  13. Gen or rep? I do like these and for the convenience of quartz, been considering one myself. I recently tried on the newer style version with the painted dial markers and grey dial, loved it and was hoping a rep of it would be out soon? Nice watch!
  14. EDIT: senior moment, didn't read the reply properly!
  15. I took one look at the coronets and said gen left. The rep one is poor.
  16. These are advertised on the front cover of the latest Cousins newsletter. Thought it might come in useful for some. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I thoroughly clean mine in a 3 stage clean/rinse/dry & then treat with Lubetta 105. Sometimes though, they are beyond saving and need replacing. They are fairly expensive little wheels.
  18. I'm no expert on these Subs but just that pip being off-centre on the bezel would drive me mad! It's a no from me.
  19. It is indeed a Seagull ST19. It is a push release stem. My experience with them is good, I find them reliable and accurate. As it doesn't have a date complication it is fairly straight forward to access the keyless works and find out what's going on to prevent the stem from engaging. Give it a go.
  20. It's just referencing to many comments I have read on(vintage) watch forums directed at someone who has made minor changes to a watch and have been lynched for so called 'ruining' of a watch. Hope you get that re-plating done, it's a lovely watch 👍
  21. Sorry, but up until the point you re-lumed that dial you were doing great. If it was my watch I wouldn't have touched that dial. 1st because the original lume looks suspiciously like Radium (very radio-active) 2nd because the original lume looked better. Again, apologies if I'm being over critical but I have seen far too many classic vintage timepieces not ruined but, spoilt. How about stripping that case. Is it chrome over base metal? Have it re-chromed and it will lift it up several notches. Good luck.
